Re: Vertical axis coordinate
I'm trying to understand the effect of the height of the vertical axis coordinate of your PAP in relationship to your release. As an example, if you tend to spin the ball some, will your vertical coordinate be higher than someone who has a more up the back release? Here's what Mo said about the Ver...

Re: Polish question
I'm curious if anyone has ever experimented with auto polish compounds (not wax) on their equipment. It just seems to me that a product like the CTD polish "powered by Turtle Wax" has to be close to something in Turtle Wax's existing line. I just can't see them coming up with a new formul...

Re: Buddies pro shop custom drilling
Okay I've never personally used Buddies (I never had a need too), So I don't know first hand. But I've been on all the bowling websites for many years. I've seen all kinds of posts/reviews about Buddies Pro Shop from guys that have used them. They are one of the Most/Best reviewed & recommended ...

Re: Pin-to-PAP Distances
Here's the video being referenced: The A-B-C Zones of Pin to PAP Layouts - #MoMonday Mo takes a viewer question about how far you have to move the Pin to PAP distance in order to see a difference in ball reaction. He breaks it down brilliantly using his "A-B-C Zones". This, along with the ...

Why Your Bowling Ball Changes Performance (Lane Shine)
This is Ron Hickland talking about lane shine. Basically he says the main cause of "lane shine" is not so much the lane (though that does contribute to it some), But everything else the ball is rubbing against after it leaves the lane surface, Such as the ball return system etc.. [youtube]...

Re: Leagues with underage bowlers now required Safesport
As someone already stated, age exclusion can be voted on in league meetings. Perhaps League officers should consider promulgating this information so as to minimize blindsiding members. We had our league meeting tonight and the local Assoc. addressed this and our league voted in only bowlers 18+ co...

Leagues with underage bowlers now required Safesport
Ok something new for leagues to worry about, underage bowlers. Here's the TL;DR version. If a adult league let's a under 18 player join the league (which maybe unlikely to happen, but it could), everyone on that league would be required to take a 2 hour class on how to not molest the underage players...

Re: BB surface those in the know.
So on the latest CTD video, Ron claims all balls eventually end up with a 4700 grit surface, no matter what. Some questions for those that are in the know: - Is that a true statement? I have seen Ron measure the surface of lane shine balls and they all appear around that 4700 mark. For the most par...

Re: Solid vs. Pearl Bowling Balls with the same surface comp
the heck is that Turtle Wax stuff? Does it apply a wax coating on the ball? That would screw everything up, wouldn't it? Turtle Wax is just the name of the company, no its not putting "wax" on the ball. That company (org. Called Plastone) has been around for 80 years making polishing and ...

Solid vs. Pearl Bowling Balls with the same surface compared
Okay this video was just supposed to be showing that you could sand pearls and polish solids plus shilling CTD and Trucut products. But what it winds up showing is that there is basically no difference between Solid and pearl versions of the same ball with the same surface texture on it. They used a...
