Re: When Did YOUR ball die?
It is true that surface scanner tests show that most balls, have a surface of around 4000 grit after just 3 games. And if the ball is an already high grit pearl, it's fine. But if it's a low grit solid surface, that should be something to be aware of. That also suggests that solid/particle balls wi...

Re: New Two Hander -- Need Help Building an Arsenal
I've tried these layouts and I wasn't a fan of the ball motion and they got way to condition specific. Granted I don't bowl on THS but I'm not bowling only on sport compliant patterns either. There are also a lot of people in the industry who don't agree on Mo's logic for those layouts. I am not di...

Re: New Two Hander -- Need Help Building an Arsenal
For a 3-5 ball arsenal, especially to start with since your game will likely evolve a lot the next year, I would keep the "special layouts" to a minimun and keep them pretty basic in the 4-5 inch pin to pap range. Here is what Mo has to say (Taken from Radical drill sheets: http://radical...

Re: New Two Hander -- Need Help Building an Arsenal
Hey, Folks I've bowled recreationally for a number of years, always one handed with a pretty traditional release. Since I'm only bowling on house shots, I always kept a pearl and a semi-strong asym in the bag and flattened my hand out for spares. Currently, the pearl is a rather old Hammer Chalk an...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots
The sanded ball video is a much better release (in my opinion). The ball on the top video almost appears to be rolling backwards. The sanded ball releases you are rolling the ball forward more. I think that is what people are telling you to do when they say to get rid of too much rotation. looks lik...

Sounds like you have a very cooperative PSO. What is his name (if it is o.k. to ask).

Re: Good Pro Shop in the San Diego, Southern California area
If you can't find anybody else, I would call around the bowling alleys and find where Don Jackson (he is from Imperial Beach) or (Ken Racette) bowl and then contact them and ask about drillers. Alvin Lou is in El Cajon if he still drills balls (he has been doing it a long time, but do not know much ...

Re: Should bowling be in the Olympics?
Final question before I try this: How far down the lane should the ball exit the oil to the right of second arrow? One third? Half way? Two thirds? Depends on how much oil you want your ball to be in and how much dry. Study the lane play chart in the PDF Jim posted: http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki...

Re: Should bowling be in the Olympics?
I have thought a lot about this since you said it. I used my Grizz at 500 grit on every sport shot we put down at Poway. I could play down and in on all of them. The only difference was the starting position. On the shorter patterns I was further inside with my feet and on the longer patterns furth...

Can I begin to plug the balance holes? 3. Should I wait until 01/01/20 to do the above? Thank you for your help Yes wait. right now t...

Another son trying 2 handed
Hello Jim Thanks in advance for your time and effort . another son is trying 2 handed and wanted me to post this for him. Re: Increasing tilt with no thumb
Is it possible to increase the tilt of a bowler who does not use his thumb, when you are using your thumb you can do a performance fit to raise or lower the track but when you don't use your thumb can you modify, alter the grip to lower the track. In this case the track is very high just clipping t...

Re: Consistancy Doesn’t Breed Repeatability?
Overly simplified is just fine by me, since I am basically overly simplified, myself! (lol) Moving left and moving right accordingly, is an art all by itself. That said however, I’m never quite sure how many boards to move at a time, in any given direction. Do I base it off the left side of my foot...

watching norm duke VS the younger bowlers for instance....norm duke does get rotation but nothing near the younger players. is it because of the modern release (cup -uncup cup) more or less? i know that timing has a lot to do with your release but does this (cup uncup cup) play a big part in the ro...
