Re: Is your fit good enough?

Bowling should not hurt of course but how about after bowling? I have been lately bowling more that earlier have had some wrist pain after bowling. Especially during night time and mornings. But how to know if that is caused by bad fit or that just normal which happens when start bowling more than ...

Re: Is your fit good enough?

Knowing when your fit is right is a hard thing to tell. This is because you don't know, what you don't know. First sign is if there is any excessive rubbing, excessive callousing, tearing of the skin, or pain when holding, swinging, and releasing the ball. For beginning bowlers, if you don't have an...

Re: Layout advise for the CASH

For a sweeping hook, consider: 60 x 3.25 x 60 That was sort of what I was thinking. I have a Hammer Rhodman that I was going to do a similar drilling for a smooth reaction, so I don't want them to be too similar. Hoping the cover strength and asymmetric vs symmetric core will make enough of a diffe...

Layout advise for Grease Monkey Whack

I have a Grease Monkey Whack in my garage that I am going to have drilled up. Looking for something I can get deep with and have big recovery and continuation and still kick out the corner pins. Thinking of a pin higher up than normal with a MOtion hole. Maybe shine the cover up a bit more for more ...

Layout advise for the CASH

Picked up a CASH bowling ball and am looking for drilling advise. Of course looking for something for heavy oil, big overall hook, and a drilling that will help the ball retain rotation and not burn up and be DOA at the pocket.

Re: Is M. Fagan still bowling?

He recently bowled the West Coast Challenge in Vacaville, Ca. He made the top 5 stepladder after 7 games of qualifying and 8 games of match play. He tried to win the $10,000 guaranteed first prize, but came up a bit short. Some video and recap of the tournament linked below. http://www.westcoastchal...

Re: how good is the visionary immortal (solid or pearl)

I had one and I would say controllable. For me the cover was too strong and I never found enough oil for it to not burn up and do nothing on the back end.

Re: World Series of Bowling

I watched it live at the stadium and all of the bowlers were playing all the patterns pretty much the same from the outside. 5, 6 ,7.. There seems to be some area as well for some bowlers.. out to 3 or tugged to 10 and it still hit the pocket. A lot of bowlers were using urethane.

Re: Secret Sauce Question

Thanks! What I'm trying to achieve is retain the energy of my ball with a lot more backend. The backends where I bowl aren't very crisp, plus I don't have a lot of rotation. After almost leaving the 5-7-10 last week, I gotta do something! The one thing I've never tried with Secret Sauce is applying...

Re: Secret Sauce Question

Secret Sauce is approved for anytime use. It is a polish and I'm pretty sure does alter the surface grit of the ball. Not sure why USBC allows it, but I will take advantage of it until they change it. Maybe it doesn't have any waxes or silicones in it so they feel it should be legal. Seems USBC is o...

Re: Life expectancy and cycle of synthetic lanes

They should put oil down to protect the lane surface... oh wait they do sort of. Seems they put oil down so people can average 230, not protect the lane surface.

Visionary Centaur AMB Particle. a high flaring cinder block. Usually just too early and cover too strong for any lane condition.

Re: Need more rotation

I suspect your head is not over the ball at release, having the ball under your head along the whole swing/approach greatly facilitates keeping your hand inside and behind the ball in a powerful position. Rolling backup balls as a drill helps practice the feel of keeping hand and elbow in. I will i...

Re: Need more rotation

When you take the ball up, upswing. I tried to mess around with my back swing the last couple of days. I tried to focus on rotating the ball the other way from the way it is in the video. The way my hand rotates in the video is just a product of my shoulder and elbow joint. If I keep my elbow behin...

If you draw a line down my thumb and off the end of the nail, the arrow points well past my pinky. that is why I go with 3/4 right in my thumb.
