Re: Asym layout question

He can be ignored going forward. Find someone else to do the job right. The wife's rev rate is somewhere around the Mendoza line (200). How she throws the ball, im not really certain layout matters. Low rotation, low tilt is an issue and not good for ball motion. If shes out there just to have fun,...

Re: Asym layout question

Considering the migrating PAP will never cross the pin to spin line, it will never rev up. I hope the wifey has around 400RPM . My advice: Change ball drillers and bring it to someone that knows what they're doing for the 2nd drill. 400 rpm.....well not quite:) take a look at the video which is 3 d...

Re: Asym layout question

Looks like a Pro CG ball. Its way out of line to the left. If the shop operator knew what he was doing, it could have been more flare safe. I hope you didnt pay shop retail for that ball, no way that came from a distributor. Yep, internet purchase by her son who's a no-thumber & then changed his mi...

Re: Chad Murphy FB post about lofting in the US Open

People must realize, PBA players are prohibited from publicly expressing their displeasure with the environment they are participating in. Accolades only. Here we have two highly qualified professional bowlers, WRW and Belmo, mocking the conditions they are encountering. Do not believe for a minute...

Re: Lining up correctly also 3rd or 4th arrow for straight 1

The old axiom " Trust is a must or your game is a bust " applies. Rolf Gauger taught me something he called "The Blind Shot" It goes like this, simply close your eyes when the ball is at its high point in your swing. Open them at the top of your follow thru. Couldn't agree more! Great tip I haven't...

R U serious?? Well 2 can play that game then. Print him up some coupons for services totaling your monthly rent as full payment. He can do whatever he wants w/ them { I'd sure have 1 suggestion for him} WOW! In what universe does a commercial landlord dictate YOUR business practices & prices on a wh...

Re: Various pattern reading.moving questions

#1 On a house shot, should the breakpoint or exit point ever move left? Explanation: For instance we have a 39 foot pattern. PL-39 = 8 board. So on the 2 or 3 point aiming process when you get up to aim, do you ever pull that 2nd point to the left. So if I am targeting 12 at the arrows 8 at the bre...

Re: Surface maintenance for Radical Balls?

Thanks...so should I use the standard-ish timing then? 500 siaair firm for 45 seconds per side and compound light for 15 sec per side? By the way I use the PYB spinner and cup on a hand drill . Has been working well for me at home. -JJS Using the PYB/Surface Master is not the same as a standard bal...

Re: Thumbhole Question

How long is your thumb? Unless you're Tom Smallwood & using a half thumb, your thumbhole is gonna hit the core/weight block. Where did hear that drilling into the core is a bad thing? Hard to believe the PSO didn't drill it to fit your hand, where did you get it drilled? I wouldn't worry about 'hitt...

Re: which zone is this

i didn't see any other markings except for brunswick "B" and usbc number. here is a picture of a different side of the ball and i circled where i thought the pin might be I think that "pin" is NOT what you're thinking of as a marked core /low RG PIN. Those were on a lot of the older 3 piece pancake...

Re: which zone is this

I could be mistaken, but I think that is a plastic ball. For a period of time, Brunswick was using the Zone name in the Target Zone series of plastic balls. Pancake core and polyester cover. Methinks he is correct. This was before they were called T-Zones. Don't know if they have the present little...

Re: Picking up left hand spares when lane is burnt up to 3rd

Now for me to "whine" about tonight and get a few things out. We went against the pro shop guys son (the proshop guy has god knows how many awards, 30-40+ 300 games 20 or so 800s etc. So you know his son was taught by him coached by him for who knows how long (he is probably 26-30 in age). ) I told...

Re: Picking up left hand spares when lane is burnt up to 3rd

O.K. - 1st game @ 5:50 shooting the 6-10 spare. You lined up on 25 & threw the ball straight up 6/7? (hard to see exactly) Then the next shot (strike ball) lined up 0n 24 threw up 8?? or there abouts. How does this make any sense? Then a 7 pin @ 6:40 - you line up on 23 and miss it- pulled left. See...

Re: Picking up left hand spares when lane is burnt up to 3rd

FROM another thread: The shot I did was stand on 22 and shoot up 8 . I didn't try to put any diagonal on it. Normal house shot, I stand on 26 and throw up 8. 6th game, I was standing on 24 throwing at 9 board out to 7 and back in. AND in another you say: For me I can hit the 8 board on any of this ...

Re: Picking up left hand spares when lane is burnt up to 3rd

WOW! You're the model of inconsistency. Made moves off bad shots & end up making things worse. Quick path to being totally lost out there. You can't see double wood? AND don't know which pins are which? You need a good coach 1st of all. Susie M. told you there was nothing to work on?? C'mon............

The majority of players don't have the consistency to make 1/2 board adjustments (with feet or target) useful (unless they've became Walter Ray).
