Re: The 2018 Urethane Ball Thread

Whatcha gonna do now that weight holes are deemed illegal & outlawed?? So much for Axis weight being 0-0-0 or anywhere close to it!

The NEWS:

It seems they don't listen to industry leaders & think they KNOW what is best for the 'Future'. Wonder how long their "Future" will last?

Re: League Play

There is no reason to take ".....a couple of years until you are 'good enough...." Go join a mixed league w/ the wife. They're usually not highly competitive & mostly just for couples to get away enjoying bowling & socializing w/ other couples etc. That's what we did. The wife hadn't bowled since th...

Re: 150 Land

Spare shooting is what got me to 200. Rolling a clean game it only takes is a couple of strikes and you are there. This ties directly into the advice already given, practice, practice, practice. Add a good coach to a practice routine so you aren't practicing bad habits. My average didn't jump from ...

Re: The 2018 Urethane Ball Thread

So how would I do that calculation? I am seeing one revolution from the time I release it until it hits the arrows. Filming @ 30fps count the revs off hand after the ball clears fingers in 10 frames. I come up w/ about 3/4 rotation. times 3 for = 1 sec. then times 60 for minute/RPM. OR to simplify ...

Re: The 2018 Urethane Ball Thread

Unfortunately your lack of speed and rev rate prohibits you from seeing the potntial of many of these balls. Not to mention the lack of layout choices. Well, remember Eric, he is a full roller! So layouts are limited at best for him. I think he has found 'his' layout for his game & hope his avg. go...

Re: Controling the breakpoint (not going inside of it)

So you basically played the same 'Zone' all nite long w/ 4 different balls only making at most a 2-3 bd. parallel move? That is NOT adjusting to the conditions. If you were in the 'dead zone' nothing you did mattered, as you saw. Bad ball reaction is bad ball reaction. You still refuse to give up th...

Re: Nord's Full Roller Thread

If I installed the free software and had a ball with a certain top weight and pin length could it figure out what I should have done? Let's take this True Motion that this forum says we totally screwed up. Tell me how it should have been drilled. It had exactly a 3 1/2" pin and 2.5 oz of top weight...

That's impossible! Do you mean 7/8 SIDE wgt.?

Re: Nord's Full Roller Thread

The pin represents the top of the core and therefore the Low RG Axis. Putting the Low RG axis on your PAP would be the most stable starting position. This is because as the ball rolls down the lane it wants to migrate to be rotating about its low RG axis, the easiest axis about which it could rotat...

Re: please help

I meant ring finger . sorry. I hear it mid lane when I hear it at all. I track very close to ring finger and I can see the oil track. It's so close to missing that I don't hear it every shot. Hello I need a little help please. I drilled a 50x3.5"x45 yesterday. I love the layout and reaction. I'm sl...

Re: Asym layout question

So, here is the New redrilled Strategy w/ 2 clips. 1st shot had decent roration and a little tilt, splits the 8-9. 2nd was a lazy release slight deflection but still got away w/ it, exits on the 9. This new layout did improve/delay the reaction as Eric had hoped. Thanks!

Re: Balls bitten by the lane machine

WHOA! How deep are those ?
They would be doing something alright. Arming themselves, calling 911, cuz in about 10 secs. I'm coming behind that counter & it's not gonna end well for both of us!

That's absolute BS! I've never seen ball damage THAT extensive!

It would be nice to compare the 2 reactions.
Could you re-post your original video too?

When I get the 'new' footage today I'll put both in same post so you don't have toggle back to pg.1 for original.
ps- 'fixed' the original video, should be active again! oops!

Re: Asym layout question

UPDATE:
Found a New PSO driller and this is what we came up with to 'fix' the previous debacle!
Hopefully we'll get some better ball reaction with this layout.
May post new videos later today after she throws it.
Thanks to everyone for their input, much appreciated!

Re: Asym layout question

It was recently developed for the Alias. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7GYMRGYMXw Then if that's the case that this technique was only recently developed for the Alias core alone per se then I doubt he was replicating that technique idea on this drill as this MM Strategy was drilled back in Nove...

Not that I remember so NO on both counts. He doesn't have a Determinator.

Re: Asym layout question

Looks like the Track Alias "Symmetrical" layout. If the PSA is 6.75" from the thumb, the driller probably borrowed this layout technique from Track. I guess my next question would be: Is this a drilling technique that has been used in the past to achieve a symm from an asym ball or is it something ...
