Re: playing a straighter shot midlane during transistion

See this video start @ 20 mins. Take your time & execute these moves. Your armswing & ball are still far away from the ankle in both drills you're doing. Watch this video & duplicate it! Good luck....

Re: Mathematic formula to figure out where to stand

so your laydown point is 27. at the arrows are crossing 20. that is at an angle of 7 boards over 15 fet. you still have 29 feet to cover and only 7 boards left to cover before the pattern exit. How is it destructive pointing out that the math doesn't work for different launch angles at various dist...

Interesting......I have a question. Tell me your resurfacing procedure. Which ball was 1st? Did you start w/ a fresh pad? Did you use the same pads for all 3?

Re: Drilling a reactive ball to take out the snap?

Well, I thought we were done w/ the "Help Nord score on House Shot ' thread. Guess not!
And yes, sanding he ball w/ blend/smooth out reaction shape. BUT NOT in your case w/ Zero tilt. Like Mav said ball sees friction , left turn Clyde! Get some tilt & get that ball down the lane further.

Re: New Cleaner Rule

One reason would be because there are some cleaners, that while approved for anytime use. Do alter how the ball performs, one example would be ole roys late shift which would while cleanng the ball would reduce how much it hooked or the some ctd products that supposedly increased hook. Also a lot t...

Re: DISCOVERED A THUMB realization

That. Looks. Awful. Sure as hell does, can you say tendon & ligament damage? That fit is what 'ole timers' used to call FULL fingertip, literally! Once his thumb exits the ball, its is 'really' on the TIPS. WRONG! The weight of the ball should be felt on the 1st one third of the joint in the swing....

Re: DISCOVERED A THUMB realization

I resolved my issue with a new driller. He correctly identified that my span is considerably longer than usual, and lengthened it. (5.5”, if you’re wondering) I also used some sandpaper to carve out a more “oval” shape to the hole, allowing the sides of my thumb to clear. Then I added 4 pieces of t...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots

Perfect explanation, thank you. But...the reason I was confused is because I thought what was wanted was for me was to keep my angles as closed as possible and to go as straight as I can due to my unique release characteristics? As Meg stated you're not that unique, different than the more modern r...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots

How does this fit in to what I stated earlier about the Jackpot? Where on the lane should I have played? What target? 3, 4, 5 and 6 were instant rollout , no length at all, ball turned over the second it left my hand, {That's because your in the DRY} but left of 6 it did not want to pick up at all ...

Like Clint Eastwood said in Unforgiven..."deserves got nothin to do with it!"

Do you WATCH your ball thru the pins/pindeck? A wealth of information is there for the taking, IF you look!

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots

This thread has become a mess. Everything contradicts everything. How can this be helpful to Nord? Does he even want help? Some are trying to help with his physical game, some say dont change. Some ask to have someone look at his span, some say its okay. Some say to move in where the oil is with re...

With your issues of the forearm tendons I am surprised you don't wear any kind of brace at all. Such as this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LP-786-Tennis-Golfer-Elbow-Double-Strap-Wrap-Sport-Support-Lateral-Pain-Brace/281448949775?hash=item4187aa280f:m:m-8Eg4rf34GEeB6fmlBQhWQ" onclick="window.open(th...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots

I have tried to start with my thumb more at 10 or 11 o'clock but it actually causes me to have to squeeze the ball real hard to hold onto it since it doesn't just hook into my thumb anymore. Why you have to squeeze the ball points to improper fit! So this causes my hand to be on top of the ball fro...

Re: USBC New Ball Specs

The PBA is only recently drawing more International World class bowlers to events. Whereas Golf has been decades ahead in that regard, both in USA & abroad. Of course the money involved enabled that to be. Bowlings big payouts don't compare therefore making it impossible for but a select few. Go bac...

Well these forward thinking ....:)....USBC futurists will then probably limit depths of drilled holes when PSO's start getting creative. I'm sure it's already on their radar when such occurs.....but then again MB not????

Re: 2020: no more balance holes...

You're missing context. The question asked was around the new 3oz top/side/finger specs in 2020. OK like I said b4 Show me where the 1-2% comes from. I can't find any such conclusion from any study that finds statics affect 1%. AND now its tripled, especially in Side wght. which is the most influen...

Re: 2020: no more balance holes...

2%. No. @ 6:48pm If it was 1% at 3oz top, 1oz side, how is changing it to 3oz top and 3oz side opening up pandora's box? Lets be reasonable here. Its nothing major and it isnt making static weights relevant in ball motion. Major influencing factors on ball motion are still surface roughness of the ...

2%. No. Really? That's not what they said in 2011. Have the laws of physics changed since then? Their findings were flawed? Which? So in the end these tests cannot be trusted!!!
