Re: Whats more important?

Matching up.

If you're not matched up it won't matter how well you repeat shots. I've proved that a lot here lately but that's another story in itself.

Re: correct location for a balance hole

thank you kybob i now see my mistake with the lines so in the case of a psa below thumb hole will a p3 hole be flare safe if not were do you place the hole ? depends on how far below the thumb hole it is and where the ball flares. I would just lay it out and see where it lands. You can always adjus...

Re: correct location for a balance hole

Question 1 = No Here's a recent discussion on this very subject: http://forum.bowlingchat.net/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5136" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; In short: Measure from Pin thru Thumbhole 6 3/4", mark this as the PSA. Measure from PSA to VAL , at the point 6 3/4" intersects the ...

New term combining Mo and Amazing. He put on a seminar for the local Jr Gold Program today. The information that he not only taught in the classroom, but makes it hit home on the lanes. You see it, then you get to feel it, and finally you continue to do it. Once again, thank you for coming out and ...

Re: P Hole Placement

We are both guessing. Spin the drilled ball on a DeTerminator to see if the PSA is in the center of the thumb-hole. answers in green above The answer is in your first quote in post #32 when you quote JohnP: "The only way it would actually be the center of the thumb hole is if that spot is 6 3/4" fr...

Re: P Hole Placement

let me do this again for symmetrical 1. from pin to center of thumbhole - PSA 2. from center of the thumb measure 6 3/4 to VAL - P1 3. divide 3 4. same process as #3 and #4 in the above. [/quote]It's from the pin through the center of the thumb hole to a spot 6 3/4" from the pin. The only way it wo...

Re: P Hole Placement

To the false PSA for measurement purposes; However the balance hole cannot be below the thumb-hole (to avoid flare problems). So the strongest place for a P4 balance hole will have to be the double thumb location. So why create a FALSE PSA? Why couldn't you measure the distance from center of thumb...

Re: DRIFTING

I'm not a coach but from my experience, and in observation of other bowlers, there is a tendency to "square up to the lane" at the slide step instead of staying "square with the target line". It's either done with the body, the arm swing or a combination of both. It does seem to be a subconcious err...

Re: P Hole Placement

It's from the pin through the center of the thumb hole to a spot 6 3/4" from the pin. The only way it would actually be the center of the thumb hole is if that spot is 6 3/4" from the pin, not likely. The rest of your procedure is correct. -- John{P Is this correct? A "FALSE" PSA is created? If so,...

Re: need advice on changing finger pitches for comfort

I would suggest that you go to the WIKI and follow Mo's fitting process (includes pitches). The spans you show seem long to me, unless you have a really big hand/long fingers. For example I'm 6'1" my spans are: MF = 3 15/16" RF= 4". Yes these are correct using the fitting process AND Mo personally d...

Re: Hitts Pro Shop

Mo, haven't forgotten you. Still in trial mode here. Rick did it all. All I did was keep my mouth shut and do what he told me. Biggest thing is Rick wants me to keep my tempo in check to keep ball speed down. He repeated that several times so I "guess" that's important. We talked about lane conditio...

Re: Fit problems need help!

One thing that will help until you get the pitch right is file the callous down with a nail file. I use the disposable kind. As long as the callous is there it will cause additional pressure. So the quicker it's gone the better. Just be careful and not get into your skin when you do this. Just do a ...
