Re: *NEW* - MOtion Hole - Video - How To & Demonstration

Mo, any updated/new information forthcoming for drilling MOtion Hole in asymmetric balls? Gotta a new ball and wanted to check before I drilled it. If there's something coming out soon I'll wait to drill.

Thanks

Mo, thanks for this opportunity. I took advantage of it. Ordered & received 2 balls. Rich did a great job too. Never once did we get to talk, all communication was by voice mail. Thanks Rich.

Appreciate that. Didn't need a ride, just didn't know there was a clinic.

Re: Taking the spare ball out of the bag for a tournament?

Since he can "kill" the ball I wouldn't worry with the "spare" ball. In fact just dispose of the "spare" ball all together. I've been bowling for a number of years and I use the same ball for spares that I use for strikes. Tried a "spare" ball a time or two and found very little use for it. Actually...

You lucky dogs. I sure would'a like to have been there. You're right Kelly, that is a TRIFECTA +1 If one has the opportunity to attend one of these seminars/clinics they really need to go. It's well worth the time and money. Nothing like getting "hit up side the head" by Mo and then smile about it. ...

Re: Calculating carry

I had to switch to 14# a number of years ago due to wrist pain. First one I bought and fresh out of the box I shot 300. Instead of focusing on the weight, might look more toward the type of ball you're using, ball layout & surface that better match the lane condition. One other thing, and please don...

No comments :?: :?: :?:

Additionally, what should we expect to see with "0" Top/Bottom and increasing Bottom weight?

Thanks

Re: *NEW* - MOtion Hole - Video - How To & Demonstration

I have a question regarding the motion hole. I know that you guys said to keep the cg near the middle of the span as possible but If my span is so short and that my thumb actually punches out the CG, would that be ok? You might want to revisit the instructions. Intent is to keep the CG on the Cente...

Re: REAX, to MoHole or to not MoHole...

Okay, so let's say I skip the MoHole idea, any suggested layouts? Punching stats in the VLS I get: Pin to PAP: 3-5/8 PSI to PAP: 5-1/4 Pin Buffer: 1-3/4 Translated into Dual angle: 63 x 3-5/8 x 32 That's Double Thumb territory, ain't it ? As "elgavachon" suggested in Post #2 - "....or just go doubl...

Re: MOtion Hole Thoughts...Please join in

Concerned this layout is gonna hurt the sport..........hhmmmm......compared to what ? The houseshots that give 10+ boards area & averages thru the roof, balls that hook out of the box? Come on now, quit over analyzing. Drill it, throw it, GRIN REAL BIG AND STRUT while repeating "Yeah that's right I'...

"halfaloaf" said: I was going to try the MOtion hole on a couple of balls i dont throw anymore. After placing tape on the balls to test for hole placement it seems im not a candidate for this layout. I only had about 10 minutes to do this but it looked like no matter where the hole is drilled i wil...

Re: *NEW* - MOtion Hole - Video - How To & Demonstration

I have an original Virtual Gravity laying around. It was slated for EBAY until the motion hole topic came up. I have never liked the VG. It was always too early and flat for me. Today I put a 1" x 4" hole in the ball. I was practicing on the USBC Nationals pattern and my "holed" VG was a really goo...

Re: Like a ball...drill a 2nd one with sooner layout?

I missed the part that you had used low angles & sums. I'm surprised that you didn't get better reaction. To me that's what you're gonna need, setup with max flare & with more surface using the "skip a grit" technique. I would suggest you ask this question in the Mo & Friends forum in the Ball & Lay...

Re: Like a ball...drill a 2nd one with sooner layout?

What's your PAP?
Left or Right handed?

Don't be bashful about using more surface on your current ball using the "skip a grit" technique, 240/800 or 360/1000 or other combination to get thru the heads.

Flares......bowled in a sweeper today with the Mission. Was watching the flares some as the lanes had more oil than yesterday. The flares closed up quite a bit and were into the edges of the Motion hole. Never noticed any thumps. Additionally, had to line on one pair with a hand position change to t...

Re: SO, is the "MO, how do I lay out my ball" question dead?

Just got through watching the MOtion hole video. Seems as though worrying about the specifics of the individual layouts has become somewhat of a moot point. Now, according to this video, everyone with a pap of 5 inches and over will drill the pin next to the ring finger, and those who have paps les...

Re: *NEW* - MOtion Hole - Video - How To & Demonstration

Triplicate - I want to thank you for your time to run the Mission thru the BluePrint software. I have decided not to do anything with the ball. With the additional information of the layout to use for asymmetric balls I don't believe I would get the full effect of the MOhole using the existing layou...
