Re: Ciminelli ditches Motiv

one thing to remember.....The PBA is an organization of people........they may like you OR they may not. They may like your style of bowling OR they may not. They may like the type of equipment you use OR they may not. Been going on not long after it's inception. Pro's know the score but have to fol...

Re: layout reactive ball roll like urethane or low flare lay

I am. I'll give you what you want Bob. With your tilt and speed we need to go to a strong asym cover and core to do it. Katana Dragon: 60 x 3 x 50 What's your thought on using this layout on the Ludicrous Solid in place of the Dragon? Nevermind....... Speed dominant with tilt and I question the rot...

Re: layout reactive ball roll like urethane or low flare lay

Its unusual for that much tilt to not have at least 60* rotation. It increases as I move right. probably into that 60* range. It must be from video, there may be an angle issue with the overlay. MattInTheHat hasnt been around for years now, when was the last time you had your specs HAND measured? a...

Re: layout reactive ball roll like urethane or low flare lay

So..... neither of you recommend a low flare layout for me? I did find in another post that Eric doesn't recommend it for someone with my specs. What about you MegaMav?

Re: layout reactive ball roll like urethane or low flare lay

MegaMav ...... As Eric said, I too thought you might respond. Why do you question the rotation? Just curious is all. It was provided/analyzed by MattInTheHat. any surface recommendation to start? P.S. I found the DRAGON to be an oil soaker and HAVE TO de-oil every 3-4 games. Have you experienced that?

layout reactive ball roll like urethane or low flare layout

EricHartwell....would like your input for:

1) layout for "reactive to roll like urethane"

2) low flare layout (whats the purpose/use for this layout?)

Need suggestions for ball from the current Radical lineup and what surfaces to use on each layout

Thanks

Re: How do you determine Launch Angle

Several points of understanding you need to realize and then study and listen to the video again: 1) The "PL-31" method calculates the "EXIT POINT" at the end of the pattern NOT the "breakpoint". Two different things. In the beginning of the video Slowinski talks about the "breakpoint" and is differ...

Short pin ball

Would a Guru Master with a 1/2" pin distance be of any use with my specs? Suggested layouts? Looking mostly for long heavy oil conditions.

Thanks

Re: Ratio question 2:1 vs 1:2

Ratios are based on an individual's stats. IT IS BEST that one stays within the ratio range per their stats. Having said that: IN GENERAL 2:1 is longer to 1st transition and shorter to 2nd transition (longer skid zone - shorter hook zone) 1:2 is shorter to 1st transition and longer to 2nd transition...

Re: Um, yeah.....my PAP stats are way off

This has been my standard set for the last 3 weeks. Have something in practice. Lose it. Fish for 2 games. Lanes settle down and I shoot a decent/big number last game to salvage something. Hey Mongo, it might be the bowler settled down. Remember what Louie used to say about "when the lights come on...

Mongo, you bowl on mostly synthetic lanes don't you?

Eric, since I'm pretty sure he does, how much adjustment needs to be made in his total ? And then what would his "long & strong" be ?

Re: Problems with shoes

I'm having issues with my slide and found your topic here thru a search. I find myself sliding too much, that is, as my hand comes to my ankle I am still sliding most of the time. I don't believe it's a timing issue (but it could be). I use a 3G Ultra Tour shoe with the felt sole and the red leathe...

Re: Working the ball from the inside.....fail

.........I'm coming out the ball clean but it's where I'm coming out of the ball in relation to my slide foot is the issue. Some days it's automatic. Some days, like today I had 1 clean game out of six and almost every errant shot was due to my release and sometimes it's dead in front of my toe and...
