Re: Feedback on my shot

I am concerned about my swing, I'm not sure if it's straight enough. Your back view video isn't directly behind your bowling side shoulder going down your intended ball path. With that said it does look like the pushaway goes outwards not straight forwards.with the pushaway going right and the cros...

Re: Leaving a certain pin combination: Red flag for change?

Anytime I see a 5 7 I will know what happend and what to do from now on. The goal is to make adjustments BEFORE you leave the 5-7! I don't know of any other pin combinations that are pocket hits that means a change. How about a pocket 4-9, 7-9, 8-10, 5-10 or a 7-10. You wouldn't make changes if you...

Re: Remembering how to stay behind the ball at release

Re: Help for my Son

A couple of things to add. #1) I thought his steps didn't looked smooth. Why is he starting his approach in front of the dots? #2) This could be a reaction for #1 but he has a very aggressive upwards motion after the release. Is he trying to add speed to the shot? This upward action alone causes so ...

Re: Stopping the deceleration on my swing *ADDED SIDEVIEW

Thanks for the side video. You can see the deceleration as your interring your side. it looks like you have a early drop into your swing and then you try to catch up with your feet. Your footwork is not getting ahead of the ball so as you go into your slide something has to give. You have 2 choices ...

Re: Stopping the deceleration on my swing

Never seen anyone with a weak wrist sliding on 33, rolling over 19 at the arrows out to 5 hitting flush. You do have a little loft. Maybe if you rolled the ball as if you had a weak wrist and soften up you grip pressure and allow the ball to land a couple of inches past the foul line instead of 3 ft...

Re: Stopping the deceleration on my swing

Proper video analysis requires one full side view from the ball side and one full back view from behind . Try to keep the video from the back in line with your intended strike line.

Re: Suggestions for my son

I see your son is bowling at bowling IQ what are the coaches saying there? His 2nd step is extremely short this should be the longer which will also help getting the ball past his body on the 2nd step or into the pro zone. http://s943.photobucket.com/user/spr3wr/media/Capture_zpsh9hukluy.jpg.html?so...

Re: How to make ball fall on fingers?

In order to make ball fall onto fingers you must allow the ball to fall off the thumb into the fingers. This means no squeezing / grabbing or muscling of the ball. You also have to allow the wrist to uncup just before the ball comes off the thumb. As mention earlier from RobMautner mention Mike Faga...

Re: tips for bowling with a higher backswing

Higher backswing equals more speed , I wonder what Pete Weber thinks of that ? Pete doesn't have what I consider even above average ball ball speed ,so lets throw that notion out . you should post a video. my only problem is i can't seem to aim it very well (i pull it a lot). What I'm thinking (with...

Re: Backswing and ball speed

I am serious when I say make him feel as though he is running to the line. Encourage him to move the feet faster and faster.......this will translate into more ball speed. If he actually runs to the line let me know......I will treat him to a Starbucks! If the bowler still has a hard time generatin...

I'm having issues keeping my alignment to the target. I've gotten really open to my target. ANY advice on a drill or something to get a feel on staying aligned to my target.
