Re: League Bowling Your Preferred Team Size.
For competing and a test of skill I prefer 5 person teams. I believe you have to have better bowling skills particularly lane reading and transition skills. For scoring I prefer 3 person. The pace is not too quick but you can get in a rhythm and the lanes do not transition as quickly. Well said!

Re: Motiv Tank Blitz thoughts
Mike, From what I have seen of the Tank Blitz....why not take a Venom Shock put 2000 on it as in the Blitz OOB and you would have the same motion and total hook of the Blitz? They would have to be close on the same pattern with the same layout and surface. I do see the Covert Tank as a more usable b...

Re: Change is coming... BowlingChat Upgrade to PHP7.2/phpBB
Thanks for what you do Eric! Appreciate your hard work and what you personally have done for the bowling community. I for one don't use Facebook because of all it's issues ie. Facebook and Cambridge Analytica, etc, etc. So, I find your forum is still the best choice for bowling forums and chat. Sorr...

I couldn't agree more boomer. It's the ball track we are considering. Though the whole ball must be at the same surface.

Re: Bowling and Digital Marketing
That’s my whole point there is so much potential there, I’m surprised some of the fringe pba bowlers don’t do more with it. Brad Miller and Kyle Sherman young PBA Tour are doing a YouTube channel. This seems the future. Recent Podcast with Josh Blanchard on Brad and Kyle YT channel. [youtube]https:...

Re: Wrist Device Usage to Cut Rpms - your opinion
Unsure why all the anti-wrist support posts come from but I have used various supports over the years as I have an old hockey injury. I honestly am of the opinion that various PWBA players use them because they need to not because of a contract for more money. I can't remember when Liz Johnson, Sha...

Re: Dealing with carrydown on league night.
JR Raymond posted this yesterday on his YT channel. IF you can go around the carry down I definitely subscribe to this theory. The issue becomes with more volume to the outside boards this kind of lane play can get tricky if you aren't matched up well with ball , ball surface, layout, and your stat...

Re: Motiv Hydra 2 different layouts
JMO but if he doesn't have a Venom Shock that's a great 1-2 punch from Motiv. Venom Shock for the fresh and the Hydra on transition/burn. That's the way I'd go and I have both. Venom Shock is the best all around benchmark ball from Motiv and it's been in the current Motiv line-up since 2014. That's...

Re: Symmetrical Ball Layouts Moving Forward (PSA Findings)
What I have found interesting on drilling a few symmetrical balls lately (depending on layout) is that the PSA can be anywhere from 1.50" left of thumb to 1" right of thumb using a Determinator so the PSA to VAL measurement (buffer) can be much different ball to ball and with no use of x ...

Re: Opinion: Why is bowling dying? Our game is deeply flawed
I also did not have to pay green fees because I have a golf membership that gives me unlimited green fees. Bowling proprietors need to look at the Golf model. If I had a membership at a bowling alley and did not have to pay linage for leagues I would probably bowl more than one league in that house...

Re: can't stop pulling it.
I see a lot of house/rec. bowlers pull shots as they always have the puddle in the middle to work off of. It's a common malady that you see in ball videos time and again. You are not the only one mrbean.

Re: 3G Tour Ultras won't slide
I also use 3G Tour Ultras. Most slippery for me on sticky synthetic approaches is using the holed back skin sole with teflon pucks or cleat as 3G calls them. TU's come with 5 pucks I believe I used these in conjunction with black felt pucks. One issue that it seems over time the pucks can compress ...

Re: Roto Grip Hustle HYB
I would tend to agree with the Hustle HYB and Ink as great price point balls. It's a wonder why many of the Storm/RG faithful even consider the higher price points unless the are speed dominant with low revs. If I didn't love my Venom Shock and Freestyle Rush the HYB and Ink would be balls I would ...
