Re: What do you pay with for bowling? Everything?
It is certainly your choice to take your business to the merchant you prefer. However you should be aware of the expenses merchants have to pay for doing business with you. When a merchant lodges cash in a bank there may be a cash handling charge. Machines that accept chip and pin cards are often r...

Re: What do you pay with for bowling? Everything?
I always pay with a card, to the point that if a place only accepts cash, I usually have to pass on whatever it was. So I can not think of a place where I live that only accepts cash. That being said if the place is still sliding cards I try to go to that place less and when I do I bring cash. Actu...

How much technology do you use in bowling equipment?
So how much tech like different balls for different lane and oil patterns do you use? What about things like interchangeable thumb slugs? What about wrist supports? Any other tech I missed? I have been seeing allot of stuff online lately about technology stuff in bowling. And it does seem like it is...

What do you pay with for bowling? Everything?
So I am curious what you guys pay with when you go bowling? Do you guys pay with cash or cards? Also what about other things? Are you mainly a cash person or do you prefer cards? What about leagues are they cash only or do they take cards? I pay with cards everywhere I can and very rarely have cash.

Re: Exercises for bowling?
The sport of bowling does not require anyone to be a Superman or Wonderwoman to participate successfully. Good general fitness should be all that is required. I have worked with people who have physical limitations that cannot be corrected. Don't worry about changing your physique. I suggest you ge...

Exercises for bowling?
So can anyone recommend any exercises for me to build up my strength. I bowled today 3 games with a 14 pound house ball. It was heavy and difficult to move. Got any suggestions?

How old is your pinsetter and score system?
So I found out the place I regularly bowl at even thought they have an upgraded score system they have a pinsetter system that was installed in 1958. The other bowling place has a "newer" pin setter that was installed in the 60's or such and the scoring system was installed in 1975 or so I...

Thank you. I have no idea. The Salvation army had 5 balls. I picked one at random. Can I call you?

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?
How the fucking hell is it so hard to answer one or two god damned questions? How much does it cost to plug and drill a bowling ball. I am not asking what ball I should get or how to bowl better I am simply asking that question. Why the fuck can't you guys answer that.

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?
We're getting somewhere now. My shop is in a suburb of Detroit. It seems like there is a bowling center on just about every corner. That's quite different from where you're located. The prices here vary greatly and for a variety of reasons, mostly location. If a person is in Detroit, they might pay...

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?
Since no one here is actually listening to me and answering my questions I am out. You guys seem to be focused on telling me how I should bowl and the best balls to get. Right now I am a beginner. I will develop hook later on if I want to stick with it. I like bowling alone. But will I like it on a ...

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?
Good advice! If a beginning bowler appears to have a vested interest in becoming a better player, we recommend entry level resin like a Rhino. Even as a person becomes more proficient at the game, a ball like that is always good to have in the bag. I have a feeling, at $65.00 mentioned in the origi...

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?
Do it right. Go to the pro shop, buy a Brunswick Rhino or a Radical Rack Attack, they're both beginner balls that will introduce you to the modern game. They're on the lower end of the spectrum. Also, most proshops have a 2nd hand rack where there are used balls for a lower price. These balls have ...

The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?
So I went to my salvation army store today. I was able to buy a bowling ball for 1 dollar. I am curious as to how much it costs you guys to get a hole plugged and drilled? I called both bowling alleys and they both quoted me 40 dollars. Now I have already checked and a good beginner ball brand new f...

Re: Pain in upper joint middle finger after bowling?
Where are you located, and what center do you bowl in, I may be able to give you the name of a good shop near you. So I asked at the pro shop and they told me how to release the ball better. Also they said I might want to get a 10 lbs ball. The house ball I was using was a 12 lbs ball. I will look ...

Finance records of bowling alleys?
So does anyone have any idea where a person might look or who to call in general for finance records on bowling alleys? Basically where I live we have 2 bowling alleys. I would like to try and find out how well the place is doing. I have asked owners of retail business's in the past how well their b...

Pain in upper joint middle finger after bowling?
So I use house balls. They seem to fit me ok. But for some reason my middle finger feels stiff and my upper joint hurts. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Does this happen to anyone else? Before anyone says anything I will be talking to the bowling alley and also a doctor about this to ...
