Re: Conversion from Turbo SG to JoPo
I've switched from Turbo to JoPo. The diameter was the same but the JoPos are longer and need to be drilled deeper.

Re: Thumb Tape won't stay on thumb
I sweat a lot when I bowl and had the same issue with tape on my thumb, I use the green turbo tape.
Then someone put me onto the blue VISE tape, the shiny one, and this adheres much better, so it goes on first and then turbo thumb tape over the top.

Re: Offset Thumb
To clarify, there is no such thing as an offset thumb. That is a drilling myth. As Bill Taylor states: "an offset thumb is a non-existent, imaginary grip layout."

Re: Tips to improve my physical game.
Thanks for the additional uploads. The key to all bowling is being relaxed, as muscle tends to try and override what your body wants to naturally do. Improper technique also hinders a relaxed swing. On the upswing, you want to try and get the ball under your armpit, bending your right elbow to achie...

Re: Tips to improve my physical game.
Hi, It is very difficult to track what you are doing using YouTube shorts, but from the side view you are leaning forward too early, getting your head ahead of your feet, and you have early timing at the release. Try staying a bit more upright and balanced in your first 2 steps, and getting the ball...

Re: Bowling Ball Lifespan & Chemistry - Article by Nick Siefers
I can concur that I have placed brand new balls in my de-oiler to test that same theory, and nothing ever appears on the surface when gently heated. At the same temperature, used balls almost always have some oil come to the surface. Ball death is a complex topic and I feel also very subjective, as ...

Thanks but the Wiki only covers drilling oval thumbs, not the oval angle itself and how that affects lateral pitches.

Oval Thumb Angle
In the Mo fitting system, there is no mention of the angle of the oval thumb, how it is calculated and its relationship to lateral pitches.
Anyone have any info on this?
Thanks.

The pros will most often use urethane rather than short pin to pap layouts on reactive balls.

Re: Pro layouts
Does anyone know what are the most popular layouts the pros use. When you watch the ball motion in slow motion The balls look like they get into roll really late. They look like the roll starts about a 15 inches from the head pin. Generally high level bowlers don't want the ball to get into the rol...

It looks like that cover hasn't been used again since 2015, and the core since the Omega Crux, which was also a pearl. It is discontinued but you may have more luck finding one of them around than the original Crux pearl. The closest current ball is probably the 900 Global Altered Reality. The Storm...

Lately my left thumb where you bend has a callus at the base of the thumb. Its started to hurt the last time i had bowled. I did have the pro shop flatten the edge of the thumb hole. Is there anything that can be recommended to put on the thumb too?? You could also be developing a neuroma at the ba...
