Re: Pin up vs pin down discrepancy in reality of ball motion
I hear you on the throwbot, he talks about the low tilt bowler being at a disadvantage but then throwbot is set up with low tilt for the demonstrations ???? Funny you should mention this, as I proposed them possibly using different tilts and rotations on the Throbot videos on the Facebook page. I w...

Re: INNOVATIVE PLUG CUTTER
I did read the entire note. Maybe because I am located so far away from support I just get things fixed myself. Re-calibrating should not take very long once Innovative get there. It wasn’t meant to come off smug. I appreciate the information! I honestly think it is in the cutter and not in the fac...

Re: INNOVATIVE PLUG CUTTER
The drill may need to be calibrated. Do not always believe that the 0 0 on the guage is really 0 0. A quick way to check is to set the guage to 0 0 put the ball and plug cutter in the drill. Lower the plug cutter to the surface of the ball and then put a 5$ bill between the plug cutter and the ball...

Re: NEED LAYOUT HELP
Thank you Eric for your detailed responses and advice. Could I possibly send the pic to you via email for your evaluation for rotation? All other things I believe are accurate and in place. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0mXvDwe2CsbwGDkHMplib2-zw#Bloomfield,_WI" onclick="window.open(this....

INNOVATIVE PLUG CUTTER
I have innovative brand with innovative drillpress and jig. No matter what I do I’m getting marking or rings on one side of ball? When looking at it the blade in holder looks off as in when you line it up on ball tight on both sides(ball surface) then spin cutter 180* looks tight on one half and day...

Re: NEED LAYOUT HELP
The Hustle Ink is a smooth rolling ball. I don't think you need to try to over control it. I would stay inside the Basic Range as I suggested and let the core help a little more. The Lower Differential Cores work much better with Benchmark Layouts and Stronger Pin to PAP positions. Your Idea will d...

Re: NEED LAYOUT HELP
The Hustle Ink is a low differential. The 4 1/2" pin to PAP is going to reduce the flare. With a 65* VAL you have pretty much drilled the reaction of the core right out of it. If this lefty was rev dominant I would agree. Working from the Benchmark you figured factoring in the lefty factor and...

NEED LAYOUT HELP
Need layout help for a lefty. 15-16mph monitor 330-360 rpm using 60fps video counting frames for first revolution 15-17* tilt 60-70* rotation Pap-4-7/8” left 5/16” down THS on older synthetic lanes I have him at 90* totals and 1.5;1 ratio benchmark. Ball is the Rotogrip Hustle Ink I thought of doing...

Re: Middle finger issues
Try reversing the pitches. I would suggest going like 0-1/4" left on middle and 3/4-1/2" right on ring.
Like said above your pitches are for a Lefty with that CLT not a righty

Re: Layout for an Idol Pearl
Hello, Looking for some advice on a layout for an Idol Pearl, I have absolutely loved my original idol and looking for something to compliment it when the idol starts to burn up just a little to early. The Idol is laid out xx-4.5x50 Thanks, Right handed (2 hander) 16.5-17.5 at the monitor 450-500 P...

Re: VAL angle question
Are you pleased with the reactions you get out of the Tremendous and Intel? Not on ths but have liked them on some sport patterns. I just changed surface on Intel to 4000 last night and planning to try it tonight. I will let you know. Was mostly just letting you know why I used them and that I didn...

Re: VAL angle question
Tenacity ................... drilled Totally Strong and will perform the best on longer conditions. Tremendous Pearl ..... Skid snap type ball with a high ratio skid snap layout. I feel the layout over emphasizes the reaction making it a difficult ball to control. 75-3.5-35 Intel .....................

Re: VAL angle question
It's a little vague. I would want to know more specifically what ball, layout and surface prep. I prefer Control layouts for the THS. These layouts are lower ratio with higher totals. The lower ratios produce larger VAL angles. Your sweetspot is 100* Total and 1.75:1 Ratio, Asymmetrical Benchmark ....

Re: FULL ROLLER LAYOUT HELP
The "normal" full roller track is between the thumb and finger holes. The layout is designed to reverse the flare (compared to a layout for a semi-roller) to avoid flaring into the holes. So the layout options are limited. If the bowler doesn't mind the disadvantages of hitting the holes,...

VAL angle question
I'm not sure if this question is to vague, but wanted to get opinions on it. Most of my equipment is drilled with val angles between 20-35 with no x hole. I find most of these balls to just be too snappy for the house shot conditions I bowl on. That being said would the suggestion be to increase the...

Re: Track clipping middle finger on release/initial track
I already have weaker balls with "normal layouts" on them!TonyPR wrote:Funny I’m a bit crazy too. Hey next time maybe selecting something weaker like a Track Tundra Solid and putting a more normal layout might do the trick.
