Re: how far would you go to get a ball drilled
I wouldn’t argue going to see Tom Carter, but I agree with Tomahawk on communication with local PSO. Very rarely is it just a one time adjustment when doing changes. Take a ball you don’t mind plugging a couple times or more until you are satisfied.

Re: Sym vs Asym
They need longer pin to paps to burn off tilt, low flare layout won’t get the ball into a roll for them

Re: Sym vs Asym
If you want to have a discussion about it and eliminate what makes the balls unique, you can’t go from one spectrum to the polar opposite on a ball scale. Now if you would have gone from a Results solid to a Bias Solid etc to give opposite ends of a asymmetrical solid comparison by saying hey this i...

Re: Sym vs Asym
Lower RG spin up quicker to read the lane earlier, those tend to roll out as you move in. So you’d move to a medium or high RG to get it down lane more

Re: Opinion: Keep ball reps out of active competition
You keep missing the message of what people are saying. During actual play, they should be quiet because it’s not equal between the brands and worse for independents. Between blocks, before after etc..have at it.

Re: Opinion: Keep ball reps out of active competition
The good and bad of information, good if you have access to it, bad if you don't. Bowling is a tactical game just like driving a race car, hitting a baseball, playing a golf shot, etc. We see baseball hitters communicating with each other all the time, relaying information about how the pitcher is ...

Re: Opinion: Keep ball reps out of active competition
I agree 100% with this. I understand the pushback from reps as your messing with their occupation. It would give BIG bowling the same playing field vs Storm as you don’t have a staffer on every lane to pass on information for a teammate following you. Have the reps give notes after the block.

I doubt it’s on the VAL, more likely a short pin layout like 90x2.5x45

Re: Old dog, new tricks ball selection
The ball is fine, a good fit it what’s important. I wouldn’t base anything with a house ball as you’re trying to make it hook and it’s not fitted for your hand. Get the ball and then try to see where you are at

Re: High School Bowling
i see people blow into the thumb hole all the time.. but they dont put their mouth on the ball... I just thought that was comical that someone on the State level.. who obviously has no clue how bowling works.. puts this kind of restriction in Well you have people like Harry Sullins who has his spit...

Unless you go to urethane or a weak short pin layout, that style is not going to allow straighter angles

Early rev Radical balls
Radical peeps, what balls in the lineup would you consider early revving balls? For me, symmetricals like the Turmoil solid are late revving and Vapor Zone revs early. Since my move in April from Tampa to Buffalo, my new center has old wood lanes with free hook outside of 5 board but the heads seem ...

Buy a used 14 and see if you like it. If not, consider smoother surface to give more length

Re: Are Fall leagues possible (and what is the limit?)
I think that applies to all of New York. I've been disappointed with the lack of transparency of the process of getting things going and the lack of communication. I've had to do more communicating to bowlers than the BPAA has. So I found out our restrictions for league in Buffalo. They have shower...
