any good excel bowling out their??

Dear All Kindly note that I need a simple excel program on the PC so I can keep the scores of the players and also at the end give me a line chart, so I could keep track on their monthly, 3 month, 6 month and yearly progress (pretty good for keeping track on the leagues as well). So is not fancy but...

Re: question regarding the tournament ball (two fingers)

So, my understanding is that if you use a thumb for spares but no thumb for strike balls, you'll need a separate ball for spares. So, yes, once the new rules come into effect, he will need to plug all holes other than the ones he uses, specifically. Dear boomer and all Thank you for the information...

Re: question regarding the tournament ball (two fingers)

Hi Kiani - what is your sanctioning or rules body? That's kind of the problem here - we go by USBC rules which now say that you may ONLY have holes that you use - no thumb, means no thumb hole (and a mark to show which way the ball is oriented) and no more balance holes. But that does not necessari...

how to train for the Paralympics

Dear All Kindly note that I was asked to do a research on how to train bowlers for the Paralympics, which until now sadly to say I have not even thought about it, but considering all the values and all the vibrant energy that you will get from it, I have no Idea where to start and what to do not onl...

question regarding the tournament ball (two fingers)

Dear All Kindly note that we have a player that is playing with no thumb (just two fingers), according to the new rules and regulations (if I am correct), states that either the player's ball will have the thumb hole or the balance hole. Two Questions: 1- when did this rule come out (how long ago), ...

Re: question on rules and regulations

There is more than just that. Every time B would start shooting a string, THEN A would unjustifiably complain about B being slow. This is why I said it was unsportsmanlike. Dear Boomer Yeah you are completely right The Lady A would start complaining when the Lady B would start Striking the complain...

Re: question on rules and regulations

To continue a bit - the 25 second rule for the pros (PBA rules 17.5, 17.6 and 17.7 in case anyone is wondering) has two pieces: For the first ball, the time starts when the opponent steps off the approach. For the second ball (and I'd assume the 11th and 12th frame balls) the time starts "from...

Re: question on rules and regulations

The word in the context your using it is "Marshal" not martial. Yes the "pros" on the Pba have a "shot clock" meaning a time limit in which to make a shot. But regular leagues don't have that it's not a usbc rule. Though a league could set one if they so choose. As for...

Re: question on rules and regulations

Thank you all for pitching in TO clarify some of the questions which are as follow: 1- Martial means the official the one that has the final verdict. 2- according to what I have gathered for the televised game the players only have between 20 to 30 seconds in order to get on the line and deliver the...

question on rules and regulations

Dear All Kindly note that there are few questions regarding rules and regulations which I did not find in the USBC and the World Bowling so I thought that in order to have it verified for my self I share it with you: 1- Are their any rules regarding the Time limit for a player to get prepared on the...

Re: Back swing problem the ball is facing Inside !!!

Kiani, I'm concerned by the fact she is cupping her wrist. For most people, cupping adds tension to the arm, which is not a good thing. Cupping your wrist even when holding nothing immediate flexes muscles up the kinetic chain. Put your opposite hand on your relaxed hand, then cup, then trace the t...

Dear Kajmk & 2y2 I hope that you are all doing fine and well and wishing you the best. Kindly note that I am re-writing this again because I saved it as a draft then I did not find the draft so sorry for my late reply, I was reading an article that divided the ball release into 3 zones which are...

Re: Why 7 and 10 pin ?!?!

so - where "in the pocket" did your ball hit? It sounds like it hit way high and drove straight through the 1-5-8/9 - in which case it would be closer to a traditional 7-10 hit. You CAN get a somewhat traditional 7-10 entering at a slight angle. Your ball hits the 1, nicks the 3, drives s...

Back swing problem the ball is facing Inside !!!

Dear All Kindly note that one of my friends is having a problem with her swing, when her swing is at its peak and coming down (the Back swing) her ball is tilted Inside and is facing too much of her back side, if it was outwards it would have been fine but is exactly the opposite. I looked at her ha...

Re: Why 7 and 10 pin ?!?!

I like that article! I had two 7-10 pin pocket leaves last night just messing around (niece and nephews in town, let's go bowling) - delivery wasn't bad and the line wasn't bad - maybe I just messed up those two deliveries? Let me go back through my brain to see? In both cases I turned my hand and ...

Re: Why 7 and 10 pin ?!?!

While this article does not talk exactly about the 7-10 split, I think it is important to read it to understand better how and why some pins won't fall even when you hit the pocket: http://bowlingknowledge.info/images/stories/slowinskifeb10.pdf I hope you find it useful. Thank you for the info it d...
