Re: Program for drilling ovals

Hello everyone, this is a program I wrote many many years ago, when flash was the standard for web apps. Right now I'm not sure I'll re-write it. I'm sorry.

Re: Help With Form Wrist Breaking back

Hello dDunc23, The release is the last pice of the bowling puzzle, your problem is not there. Maybe 80%-90% of bowling problems are originated in the stance and first two steps of your approach (In a 5 steps approach). It would be great to have a side video to assess your timing. Looking at your bac...

Great! Have you spun some of those symms? It would be interesting to see where the psa ends on those ones.

Re: question on rules and regulations

Dear All Kindly note that there are few questions regarding rules and regulations which I did not find in the USBC and the World Bowling so I thought that in order to have it verified for my self I share it with you: 1- Are their any rules regarding the Time limit for a player to get prepared on th...

Re: Back swing problem the ball is facing Inside !!!

Hello, I didn't get the A3/B2 part. It would be very useful to have videos of her throwing so we could better help her because right now everyone has a different image on their heads based on what you've described. I can imagine her turning her hand on its way up so that she can be outside of the ba...

Re: New USBC rule disastrous for two handers in symmetrics

Did he have the fingers drilled deep? How big were they around? More or less. No, he has very small holes for the fingers in fact he does not use inserts (well I can't remember if it was him who didn't use inserts or it was the Weber player), In his Phaze II he has a balance hole, he uses it a lot ...

Re: Return to doing drills

Hello krava, In your foul line drill, your movement does not look continuous, it looks like first you set the ball on the lane and then you push it. It should be one single movement from behind and It should be obvious when your thumb leaves the ball, long before the fingers do, It looks like both t...

Re: New USBC rule disastrous for two handers in symmetrics

Mo says the PSA will be on a line 6 3/4" from the pin through the "in-between" the finger holes. That is why he wants the fingers drilled deep on a symmetrical ball. Here is a video you might like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTB_Edv8obE" onclick="window.open(this.href)...

Re: Why 7 and 10 pin ?!?!

While this article does not talk exactly about the 7-10 split, I think it is important to read it to understand better how and why some pins won't fall even when you hit the pocket:

I hope you find it useful.

New USBC rule disastrous for two handers in symmetrics

With the balance hole banning rules it is practically impossible to know what a symmetrical ball will do for a two hander because PSOs will never know before hand where the PSA will end after the ball is drilled, has anyone put a two handed drilled symm on the determinator? No layout is going to be ...

Re: Why 7 and 10 pin ?!?!

More surface means that you have to sand your ball to a lower grit so it has more friction and can read sooner.

Re: Different Kegal Challenge Patterns

As it states on the Kegel info about this pattern: “...At 48’ in length, the best way to attack this pattern is up against the wall of oil instead of jumping to the drier part of the lane. Once lined up properly on the Great Wall of China, it will be almost impossible to cross over to the other side!”

Krava, to me, with this thread you're stating that you no longer want/need Jim's advice or you want to get everybody's attention. Why would someone make a new thread on your efforts to become better when you've already gotten all the help you need from one of the best coaches in the freaking world....

Re: Style purists(?).

I in no way am trying to offend anyone with my opinions. I totally agree that sports evolve and as far as bowling is concerned, One handed thumb or no thumb two fingers thumb or no thumb and two hands are all okay with me and any other way you can come up with to release the ball. My biggest compla...

Re: Style purists(?).

It is very common that when something new hits the competition field in any sports there will be a lot of resistance to the change one just have to remember high jump, when Richard Douglas Fosbury made the first back jump, everybody criticized him and complained, now, there's not a single high jump ...

Re: Speed dominant or Match rev dominant

Speed dominant is the Stroker plays the lanes straighter Matched is the Tweener Has a nice hook swings the ball a little bit. Rev dominant is the Cranker throwing the big hook. I don't believe this to be true, you can be a cranker and be matched if you also throw the ball with enough speed. A speed...

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls

Drill angle to influence how early the ball revs up. Pin to PAP distance on how fast or slow to burn off tilt and rotation. VAL angle to control how long or short the hook zone is. If you want a layout for your ball, contact a Hammer representative. I am not familiar with their products. In the MoR...
