Re: Bowling ball serial numbers

Looks like my HyperCell Fused is toast. My Timeless may be also. I need a mid to upper mid
Symmetrical solid cover ball anyhow.

What about the ball manufacturer logo? On one ball that you are gone. The other is just about gone.

Bowling ball serial numbers

The serial numbers and ball manufacturer logos have been worn off on a couple of my bowling balls. Is it true that these balls are illegal to use in USBC sanctioned leagues and tournaments?

Re: storm sure lock

Yes, definitely get the ball de-oiled and the cover stock refreshed to the factory 2000 grit. If it is too strong, let it lane shine. Storm balls have covers that are clean through the fronts with a strong backend reaction.

Re: real good strong pearl balls

All man, I second the Storm Phase 3. It is a symmetrical Hybrid but it rolls like a strong symmetrical pearl. Mine is pin down and it is still long and strong. Typical strong Storm ball backend reaction. The ball smells better than it looks.

Re: Should I get' the phase 3?

Not sure why your pro shop recommended the Phaze 3 for your ringing 10 problem. I threw mine for the first time in practice and this ball goes long and strong. It is as angular as all get out. And mine is drilled pin down, pin below my middle finger(right handed). Yeah like others said you will need...

Yeah, I just seen some of the review videos of the Storm Phaze 3 that have come out so far. This ball is sick. Storm may have out did themselves with this ball.

Practice time prior to league games

We get 10 minutes of practice prior to the start of our league games. How do you all best use that time?

High RG balls

Roto Grip has a new ball coming out, the Wild Streak in their HP3 line. It is a 3000 grit solid cover with a 2.60 RG and 0.048 Diff. Under what conditions or during league on THS will a high RG ball fit?

Re: Low RG/low diff balls

I'm been eyeballin' the Storm IQ Tour Emerald. It has an RG of 2.49 and Diff of 0.029. What will a low RG and low diff do for bowlers?

Re: Thumb problems preventing clean release

Perhaps the PSO or even your friend can sandpaper that area of the thumb hole, creating a bevel. I would consult the PSO first. He/she should have a solution. Before I had my finger/thumb pitch adjusted, I develop a nerve pain issue at the base of the thumb. My PSO beveled that area which helped a l...

Re: Thumb problems preventing clean release

I’ve been having similar problems with my thumb coming out clean the four years that I’ve been learning how to bowl. At least until last month while talking about this issue with one of my bowling friends. He told me that he puts most of the thumb pressure at the base of the thumb with the thumb nai...

Ball type for league transition

During league on THS, what ball type is good during the transition phase? A skid flip ball like a mid/upper-level pearl? Or, a smooth reaction like a mid-level solid? I looking for a ball to replace my Storm Crux Peart(has a weight hole) and my Timeless (does not react as it used to). My Storm Punch...

Video: "How NOT to "Hit up" on the Ball and Roll Better?"

i've been bowling only for a few years and absolutely love the sport. I'm 53 years old and wish that I had picked it up years ago. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos folks on this site have been posting as well as the ones that I found on my own. I want to share a video that I found, perhaps...
