Re: Are Fall leagues possible (and what is the limit?)
I just got a call from the manager there. They are doing the leagues now. It depends on which night it is. I think they are still staying with 4 people per pair. THey are also going to do the shift thing I said for leagues that had more people in it. Leagues are looking at 6:15 shift and 8:15 shift ...

Are Fall leagues possible (and what is the limit?)
We just got done with a 8-9 week summer league here. They had people bowling M-F and 2 people teams. Could there be 4-5 people teams? if so limit the number? How do they come up with how many people can be in the place and also do they have to be spaced a certain way? The bowling alley I am at alrea...

Re: USBC Nationals for 2020 Cancelled - good or bad thing?
My mom said that this might be around until 2024 anyone seeing this being around that long? I am about to finish up the summer league. We had a 8-9 week league here. 2 people per lane. I have no idea what they are going to do about winter.

Adjusting: How do you choose when to slow the ball down or ball up
I had to make this decision today. I made a move left and I threw the ball and it didn't make it back to the pocket and I left a 2 8 double wood or whatever it was. I threw the ball at 14.3mph. I decided to slow the ball down and when I did, I got it to 13.9 and the ball shot left of the headpin. Th...

Re: Question about balling up to a stronger cover/core ball and playing same line
For people that throw straight at spares. How do you combat the dry for throwing spares. Suppose you usually aim 4th arrow to get the 10 pin. The lanes dry out, I usually move another board left and still hit the 4th arrow. Dries out more another board left and still 4th arrow. Should you move 1 and...

Question about balling up to a stronger cover/core ball and playing same line
I have been out like everyone else for a few months. But even then, I didn't have a good understanding. I will try to revise my question in 1 sentence. How come when I ball up from a Rotogrip Hustle Ink (drilled pin down) to a Conspiracy Solid, I can play the same line as I can with the Hustle Ink b...

Re: Best balls to use a shorter pin layout on
I have the same question also. Right now I only have a Storm Match with a low flare layout. I am a little bias against a low flare asymmetrical ball because that kills what the ball is made to do. I did see Mo's Son use a zing hybrid low flare layout to try to mimic a urethane ball. I think it might...

Short Pin layout ball to mimic urethane
I have watched a few videos on this and don't have an understanding on a few things. A ball that is drilled with a short pin isn't the same as a ball drilled for low flare or is it? (I have a match and a match pearl I told them to drill low flare, so does that mean they drilled it with a short pin?)...

Re: Might want to get ready for long term storage of your balls.
I still need to get the tape out of my balls etc. I bought 2 slides to replace my Dexter The one slides. Should I send them back and get a refund? This thing looks like it is getting worse. I am not sure if the bowling alley is going to be around after this.

Re: Damage to the bowling ball, bowling alley says never seen anything like it before
The bowling alley that it happend at said it couldn't be fixed offered me $30. I took it to another place and they said it could be fixed. The problem with that is that bowling alley is on base and they are shut down and who knows what is going to happen. my cousin has like 3-4 bowling balls suppose...

How to finish fall leagues
I don't know how to post this. It seems that they are extending the quarantine to the end of april. The leagues were suppose to stop mid or early april. So what happens? In the rule book does it say anything about there has to be a position round between the teams? If you prepaid for the last 2 week...

Re: Completely forgetting what to do when the time is right for it
I was in a sport league last year but didn't know how to throw the ball properly until recently so hopefully things are different. And yes hopefully things return to normal soon but thing aren't looking good. Someone told me I can't even leave the state now but hopefully in the next few weeks things...

Re: Completely forgetting what to do when the time is right for it
I know boomer that is what gets me. When do you know to make like a 8 or 10 board move left and 5 board move left at the arrows? I am used to half a board moves, then I did 1 board moves and I just started doing the 2 and 1. I can do a 20 board jump right and throw up the boards, but that is because...

Re: Bowling withdrawal or an opportunity to improve?
I see it as opportunity to recover. My left knee has been hurting a little on and off and this off time is good for it I think. It is a good time to watch videos and learn things though. hard to keep fit when the gyms are closed.

Re: Completely forgetting what to do when the time is right for it
I didn't try to throw the ball to the gutter because I didn't see it getting any friction there. I can play inside of 5 if needed, but I doubt that was the correct shot. I meant the dot at the feet. For example I see a 10 pin. I put my left foot 7 boards left of the last dot and throw accross 4th ar...
