Virus at www.pbatour.com
Friday, AUG. 16, 2019, 9:45 AM Eastern time
I just tried 2x to access the PBATOUR.COM website and 2x Norton intercepted a Virus/malware attack called Rig Exploit Kit Redirection 13.
I'd suggest people not access this website until the problem is cleared up.

Re: The 2018 Urethane Ball Thread
I think that Sunday's Tournament telecast speaks volumes about modern bowling balls. In this case, the fact that both bowlers on the right side were using urethane, and two out of three bowlers on the left side were using urethane while one was using reactive had a major impact on the outcome of th...

Re: Is M. Fagan still bowling?
I would assume logic has dictated his choice of careers: a degree in business, which I think is what he was pursuing, can probably garner him a salary about 10X his possible earnings from bowling. While he no doubt loves bowling and will continue to bowl, I wonder how much effort he will put into a ...

Re: A polished solid can never be a pearl...Spinner experime
The problem with Secret Sauce is that it's the most intensely abrasive bowling ball polish ever made, of which I am aware. It is so strong, it's the only one that can truly shine up old, true urethane balls. That said, when used to polish resin, the result becomes an all or nothing proposition. Unle...

Re: resanding and polishing
If your ball is the Brunswick Fuze Detonator, then the coverstock is the old Brunswick Proactive or particle coverstock. To truly affect it, sandpaper will not work properly. You really need an abrasive called, Trizact, as specified in the specs for this ball. See this Brunswick web page, http://bow...

Re: Request for Advice
Viper, Just as a matter of curiosity, are you keeping the shine/polish on the RA Cherry? I mean, are you refreshing it on a regular basis? (Often, people forget to do this and wonder why the ball seems to be getting strong.) Regarding the BTU, I have one with a 65x 4.5 x 35/40 drill and I took the c...

Re: friend just got a free brunswick avalanche slide
Would compare to a Rack Attack pearl. Low performance tier. Have to disagree, Eric. I've had the Slide in 16 lb, 15 lb. and now in 14 lb. Yes, I like it for the amazing amount of dry I see. It is much weaker than he RA Pearl. In fact, it is a weaker resin than any other resin currently on the marke...

Re: Anyone hear of PBS company.
I am trying to find a replacement for my storm hot rod hybrid. The wicks proshop people suggested storm joyride but I don't see the ball rolling the same way. The hot rod hybrid has has the fingers plugged once for whatever reason I got it done and looks like it needs it again so I might just need ...

Re: Trizact Question
I use a Trizact 3000 grit pad quite often. They last quite a long time, much longer than Abralon or Siaair. Their foam backing is slightly thinner but more than adequate. Sometimes I use it as the final surface; sometimes I add polish over it. Works great either way. A 3000 grit ball is slightly ear...

They're not listed in Radical's section of BTM. I believe they fell through the cracks when Brunswick was not sending balls to BTM for review.

Re: Another Scotch-Brite Question
The Scotch-Brite gold roll is kind of a specialty item.
Here is one place that carries it; note the 1200 grit is probably CAMI grade (~2500 grit FEPA grade)

Re: Another Scotch-Brite Question
Thank you Charlest for this useful information! I did not know this about the white pads. Ironically, last night in the grocery store I noticed what I think are the blue pads you are referring to. Are they advertised for use in doing dishes? If so, I need to buy some. It appears that there is no Sc...

Just an FYI - I got this info from a 3M representative 12-15 years ago. 3M Chart Less Aggressive --------> More Aggressive 7445 7448 6448 7447 6444 7446 7440 Finer Finish --------> Coarser Finish (The value inside the parentheses is directly from 3M.) 7445 - White pad, called Light Duty Cleansing - ...

Re: Another Scotch-Brite Question
Got a few pieces of Scott-Brite hand pad to try 7447 Maroon (6448 is not available here but I guess the green one used in kitchen should be the same) 7448 Gray 7445 White Sanded by hand, 7447 ~= Abraloon #800, 7448 ~= Abralon #2000. 7445 is strange. Though the pad surface is rough, hardly see anyth...

Re: "Simple Green & Alcohol" Ball Cleaner Showdown v03
I forgot the new LM cleaner was approved for use during bowling. I have about half a quart of the old cleaner. It does a great job but I don't use it much because of the smell. I understand that the new version doesn't have that smell. -- JohnP Yes, the new one, Extreme, still has a smell/aroma, bu...

Re: "Simple Green & Alcohol" Ball Cleaner Showdown v03
John, LMB Extreme, approved for use DURING bowling, will remove the ground in oil flare lines that neither 91% isopropyl nor SG would remove. In fact, no other cleaner approved for use during bowling that I have, to date, tested, will remove those ground in oil lines except LMB. As far as I can tell...

Re: Best Ball Cleaner
There are about 99 different products that can dirt off a bowling ball, both bowing specific and generic. I personally am only concerned as to whether a cleaner can truly remove oil, the only "dirt" that affects the performance of a ball. So far, in my personal experience, there are only t...
