Re: Storm | Pin Buffer Layout System - Part 1 & 2 & 3
I think their logic is that the MB distance is constant in their system while the mb distance is not always the same with the drill angle but is dependant on how long the pin to pap is. The VAL changes as well depending on pin distance but I don't think that is as big a deal for them the psa to pap ...

Re: Axis rotation and Hook
In a recent interview on a podcast Jodh blanchard advocated for older and younger people with light balls and low ball speed to hit the brooklyn side of the pocket. It carried better according to some usbc study

Re: Struggling To Adapt To Two Handed
If you study the two handers you'll notice that there is no one right way of doing it. First thing first is figure out what is comfortable for you in how you can naturally get to the line. Find your own rhythm and work from there. Drills are a great way of getting better but I'd suggest for the firs...

Won't there be a void in the bottom though? That would make it illegal

two urethanes, asym and sym. plastic. strong cover asym with a low flare layout. strong cover asym with "normal" layout and a medium symmetrical like iq tour or stronger like an idol

Re: Fun one for you Eric
I'd drill it with a strong pin to pap and a flare safe pin position. That ball has really low diffs in other than 16 lbs

Re: Fun one for you Eric
How do these layouts from bridge center roll for you gunso? I drilled a similar Cyclone for my two handed daughter and it rolls great, I call it “cg above bridge” If I recall you are also a negative tilt bowler, correct? They roll just fine and much better than when I throw other peoples equi...

Re: Fun one for you Eric
sounds right to me. He is only a 1/4 inch down so his pin placements will tend to be way up there unless you use a large val angle. his pap is also way over so it ia understandable that the pin ends up way left. I'm 5 1/2 straight over and my pins and way up there even with a 50° val angle

Re: Surface Speculation
Common sense would suggest that going through all the phazes should result in a more skid snap motion than skip a grit.
Skip a grit should have a rougher surface and therefore read earlier and therefore blend the pattern more. 1000-4000 should result in a coarser surface then 1000-2000-4000

Re: Getting the most of a 12lb core
The Halo from Roto has an 0.40 differential with an int diff of 0.08 The hyper cell fused has a diff of 0.29 and 0.08 (storm has similiar numbers in most of their asyms in 12 lbs except codes I think) The Idol and Idol pearl have a 0.35 diff in their sym balls as do the the master line from storm su...

Re: House shot struggles--Recommendations?
I loved my trick to smooth out over under but recently I've been having a lot of success with the Hyroad Nano. Has a bit more shape downlane and the nano cover is special so I would definetly recommend that one. Might go to something similiar to a Fused as well if carry is the issue and not getting ...

Re: Bowling Ball Pairings
I'm pretty sure Mo is referring to hook potential when he talks about the same pairing. A good example would be the Hyroad and the Code Red from Storm. The hook potential is similiar with the same cover given that the cover prep is similiar but the Code has just a little bit bigger engine in it. Doe...

Re: Struggling ball shape
Since most of the above I believe comes from Mo's teachings I notices that in his latest video he said he never recommends pin to pap distances under 3.5 except when he goes for the low flare option of 90x2 1/4×45 layout thought it was interesting that he never recommends anything above 5.5. under 3...

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
I'm kinda interested in seeing how his recommendations will change now that the new static weight rules allow a little bit more flexibility in cg locations for no thumbers without balance holes. I thought he was a bit too focused on putting the cg in the ring finger with his old recommendations to a...

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
when I email Mo (i'm no thumb) he uses the psa to pap distance and asks me to swing arcs so he at least differs his methadology if people use a thumb or not when dealing with asyms for no thumbers

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/images/c/cd/DualAngle.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Page 4 in the above link shows that a 3 3/8 PSA to PAP is not the same as a 45°drilling angle. 50° drilling angle would explain why longer pin to pap distances showed a higher amount o...

Re: Layout Advice Track Paradox
don't remember the reason he gave for it. just throw it and adjust surface depending on how you like it. I rarely keep the surface the same on my bowling balls. it all depends on what I'm playing on next
