Re: Vise CS Hybrid gets milky
It could be that moisture was present in some way. Humidity can affect fast curing plug. So much so, that Turbo recommends using a plastic stir stick in their quick plug instead of a wooden stick. They have found that there is enough moisture present in the wooden stir sticks to cause the plug to cl...

Re: Switch Grip Longevity
Over the last 3 years, I have noticed a substantial change in the Switch Grip longevity. They lock really well for 2 months or so and then become increasingly sloppy. In my shop, we are recommending JoPo and Vise It’s over the Turbo offerings. For me, the JoPo is very rigid and secure. Blends the be...

Re: Finger Thumb Pitch
In my opinion, if you're having soreness in your thumb and issues dropping the ball, you should have your grip and thumb hole re-evaluated. Your span and pitches could be good but your thumb hole could be too large or it should be shaped different (oval instead of cone). You could be squeezing or kn...

Re: urethane thumb slug VS vinyl thumb sleeve
Vinyl thumb inserts are very tacky by nature and urethane are smoother. If you have moist skin or your hand sweats during bowling, the vinyl can start to stick on your thumb causing a poor release. To me, it sounds like you could benefit from a properly shaped thumb. I would recommend starting with ...

Re: Fitting Method vs type of release
I honestly don't see an issue with using forward pitch on the fingers. I've used forward pitch on many hands with no issue. I had a customer, very talented bowler, tell me he uses reverse for less flexibility. Ok.... luckily he had brought a few plugged balls that were just for testing. I fit him an...

That's what I've seen so far. Others may see something different, but as a PSO, I haven't noticed any issues.

Re: Fitting Method vs type of release
I haven't noticed any limitations with the Wiki fitting method and any release styles. Proper shape and sized thumb hole combined with span and pitches that allow for little to no grip pressure... personally, I can go from 7° Of tilt to 20° as well as change rotation from 35° up to 70°. From cup and...

Re: linear Fingerpitch
If I remember correctly ... Doesn't Chris Barnes use different pitches and spans in balls when he is trying to "circle" the lane compared to playing the "straighter"? I believe he utilizes a different fitting in his spare balls too.

Re: linear Fingerpitch
In my opinion there is more than one way to skin a cat. it has been said many times before, a good PSO will be well versed in many different fitting methods. Many contradicting the teachings of the other. I have found the wiki to be a good base fit of the relaxed finger tip grip. It had been taught ...

Re: Thumb pitch help
4" span but poor flexibility. You could shorten the span another 1/8-3/16 and allow the major knuckle to bend a little more to aid with the poor flexibility at the tips. Then go 3/16 forward with the fingers. You can do the fit yourself using the wiki. There's more than one way to reach the goa...

Bowlers are taping their ring finger to accommodate the larger size hole. All 3 holes are drilled to the middle finger size.

Well, you could go with Double Thumb on both. I think it would work really well on the Diva Divine. The cover on the Diva makes it the strongest of the Divas. As for the Corrupt, if you want something with a different look, 25/4.5/50 would give you something you should be able to use on the higher v...

This was copied from another thread. The program will help you clear up the issues with the pitches. It will allow you to drill at any angle too. Hello, Russelldean started this topic: http://bowlingchat.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6897&start=40&sid=5395e96cf840dd965aa92b99d3108cb3 In ...

Re: I don't understand my new Uncaged's reaction
He is referring to the PSA after drilling. Your initial drill angle was 40°, after drilling the PSA, in a symmetrical ball, will move 6-3/4" fr the low RG axis within 1/2" of the centerline, or near the thumb hole. That is why he estimates your DA to be 75°.

If you're having issues with a tight fitting outer . . . You could always purchase the reamer. It's especially useful for drilling into plugged balls.

Re: Anatomical Drilling Technique the Tri-grip killer?
To determine your base lateral in your thumb, you can do the coke can test That part of the wiki fit. Then add 1/2 left to your base. For fingers, going off Joes model . . . i would start with 1/8" - 3/16" forward, then you would add reverse depending on flex. It's going to be an experimen...
