Accounting software

Just wondering what the PSO out there are using and why they like or dislike certain software. Looking at starting an LLC for maintenance and Pro Shop work.

Storm Thunder Tape Equivalent

Seen Storm quit caring their Thunder Tape (black) by the roll. Does Vise happen to carry something close. The guys that liked this had tried the Turbo beige and didn't like the lack of adhesion compared to the Storm brand. Also, does Vise happen to have a scale that shows the difference in the prote...

Re: What is BowlingChat worth to you?

This forum as meant a great deal to me in the advancement of my knowledge in layouts and ball motion more than any other resource. I have been in the bowling business for almost 25 years and this site has taught me almost as much as experience has along the way. Along with others here I first came h...

Re: USBC finds another way to bail out proprietors

The USBC proved to be full of BS by implementing the elimination of balance hole because they were concerned about "lane pattern integrity." They are so worried they now allow 0 units of oil on the outside of the lanes and all lanes are certified until 2022. Hell of a reason (lane integrit...

Re: USBC New Ball Specs

I see that they are trying to limit the sponges and the static weight limit is archaic but removing the balance hole takes many individuals and makes them at a disadvantage to the higher rev bowlers. There have been several older bowlers how have become more competitive with the younger rev monsters...

Re: USBC New Ball Specs

The USBC made the change to help with the integrity of the game by trying to preserve the oil pattern longer. This is from the horses mouth. I understand the a balance hole can make the ball flare more but modern balls and cores flare the way they are without a balance hole. If the flares are a 1/4&...

Re: USBC New Ball Specs

True, they did state it was about scoring but that it was about trying to help the patterns hold up longer and then threw in the reason was for the "integrity of the game." So are the changes about the oil pattern or the integrity of the game and are they one in the same. Next there will b...

Re: USBC New Ball Specs

With enough negative feed back from bowlers after releasing these new (terrible) ball specifications will the USBC take back the rule change if they get there teeth kicked in like they did a few years ago when they were going to send people into centers to see if the center was within spec? Doubt it...

Re: Negative Tilt

And is there any real detriment to negative tilt in terms of how the core functions/ flares? As long as the ball is drilled so the flares don't go over the finger holes there is no detriment. The problem comes with a "normal" looking layout with the pin by the fingers and the flare gettin...

Re: Rack Attack Solid - anything close?

I have a Rack Attack Solid drilled 4.125" x 53 with a P1 7/8" x 3" and have a Magnitude .035 Solid drilled 3.5" x 35. The RA is a great ball down from the .035 and these are 2 great bowling balls. As for making them act the same you might be able to pull it off. The week pin posi...
