Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
Where the PAP migrates and how fast is significantly different between those Pin to PAP distances. Treat the dual angle layout system as a sliding scale, not chunked up buckets of low, medium, high flare. Drill angle to influence how early the ball revs up. Pin to PAP distance on how fast or slow t...

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
I've disputed it and got no response. Rebuttal or not, it isnt accurate. It doesnt really matter in the end because we cant chance symmetrical ball drilling angles with a hole. Accuracy involves technicality and it may be beyond what they want to convey. If it regards my response... I asked concret...

In any case thank you for your answers. Good luck!MegaMav wrote:

With that high of a drill angle its possible the ball will never rev up.
Weak hitting power. Consult with a Hammer/EBI representative.
Use a Brunswick/DV8/Radical ball and I will advise you.

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
I would lower the drilling angle so that you have 6 1/2". I have gone 8" and the ball wasn't any good. The other option is to really put it a long way (almost to the negative axis). Mo has done that on a few balls for 2 handers. I tried that layout and it killed the ball, but still had a ...

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
I’ll let the gurus say, but I’d think a low flare on a urethane would make it almost a spare ball. The question is : is it possible and correct to use the layout which puts the PSA in position further than 6-3/4 " from the PAP on an asymmetrical ball (on symmetrical one's it is not a problem b...

The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
Hi! I have a question The low flare layout 110*1-1/2*50 put the PSA further than 6-3/4" from my PAP... I am going to use this layout on Hammer Black Widow Urethane Is this correct position the PSA for proper ball motion? Thanks Pavel Left Handed PAP 5.0" up 0" more 60* rotation 18* ti...

Re: What difference is...?
Good luck with getting exact ball specs, I never seem to get exactly what I want. Black Ops No problem with the Cg in thumb hole. Start with fingers 1-1/2" deep and drill the thumb deeper if needed. IQ Tour Nano There is 1/2" difference in Cg location and the 1/4" pin to pap differen...

Re: What difference is...?
The Swagga is a big diff. ball. You like the arcing motion vs. skid flip/angular reactions. The Black Ops is more Asymmetrical and will naturally be more angular at the break. So I would suggest using a lower ratio 1:1.25 lower total 115* 50-5-60 for the Black Ops for a ball stronger than the Swagg...

Re: What difference is...?
It will rev up in the oil and come off the end of the pattern fairly straight. You are looking at a ball with a strong core and you are suggesting very strong layouts to amplify the core strength even more. Are you looking for a layout for long oil? What other balls and layouts do you have and wher...

What difference is...?
Hi! Can anybody help me to choose the proper layout for the Global 900 Black Ops ball? I suggest 50* 4 1/4" 35* or 45* 5" 30* How do you think what difference in ball motion I can expect? And how significant could this difference be on various lane conditions? About me PAP 5 over zero up S...

Does it mean if pre-drilled VAL angle less 20* the possible shift of low RG could make it negative (less than 0*)?elgavachon wrote:Picture #1 re-iterates why Mo chose to use a 20* VAL angle on the Dual Angle Layout Guide.

Re: Where is Low RG on Drilled Sym without a hole?
I think small thumb-holes on lower differential balls would give you the PSA locations Morichbowler300 is mentioning. If you have larger thumb-holes & especially if you can go deeper, the PSA will be more stable (PSA will move the low RG & not the opposite). The 1/2" from the center of...

Re: Where is Low RG on Drilled Sym without a hole?
The most accurate way to determine this is to have a determinator and spin the ball post drilling. Yes, most of the time the PSA is the thumb hole. However, I've spun up some weaker symmetrical balls to find that the PSA has migrated into the track or sometimes in the middle of the grip. It all dep...

Where is Low RG on Drilled Sym without a hole?
Hi! Mo said: - Whether the Pin is above or below the fingers (which really doesn't matter. It's the VAL angle that really matters.), the PSA of a drilled symmetrical ball, without a balance hole, will be approximately 6 3/4" from the pin, 1/2" negative of the centerline of the grip… - On a...
