Re: Program for drilling ovals
Perhaps Python then? Should be platform independent. I was thinking of VB, but the question becomes other than Wintel platforms, and will it run on older versions of Window.. Probably. You can put it on an Apache server and then it will run anywhere. I typically do things, anymore, in C# and then c...

Re: Program for drilling ovals
Unfortunately, Java is kinda in the same boat these days. We are eliminating the JDKs from our images this year.

Re: Program for drilling ovals
then why are you required to download flashplayer_32_sa.exe - a flash player? Get it OFF FLASH - ANY flash content player is vulnerable to multiple avenues of attack. This is an OLD and very well known issue in IT. I've been in IT for nearly 30 years and anything worth it as been off Flash or Shockw...

unless your thumb is truly massive (and mine is pretty danged huge) you should be fine. I have three different thumbs of slightly different sizes (I only use one now, mostly - was from when I dropped a ton of weight during my knee replacement) and they are all fine.

Probably been removed as a smaller ball would be a detriment. . . so sand your ball down to 8"? Go ahead, no skin off my nose! LOL
I did have one ball that lost some of its label (Storm Eraser Boost - LOVED that ball)

Veritasium is an EXTREMELY good channel regarding physics, mathematics, etc. He's really thorough.

Re: Polished bus sanded ball
that seems exactly backward to me. If you're playing on the outside, you're in friction/low oil so I'd think you'd want polish; if you're inside, you're in the oil so you'd want sanded . . .

Re: Ball for a straight shooter
All that said - if you're a straight shooter: A: you probably don't care about what your ball does to the oil pattern. I wouldn't. :) It's not relevant to you and actually would probably help you in competition since it DOES affect your opponents who do hook the ball. So don't worry about the oil - ...

You can get a vis-a-ball or White-Dot or any plastic ball that will go dead straight.

Re: A ball recommendation
I think Tony's reply SOUNDED complex but really wasn't. Here's a quick thing, though, for Narcissus - count from your side of the lane. That way we can talk to each other, even though lefty / righty. Arrows are 5 boards apart, but we still call them first arrow, second arrow, etc. So as a righty, th...

Re: Ball Fit Advice
Now if that concept could be applied to switch grips, that would be great! Why couldn't it? Just tape the grip and switch it from ball to ball as needed. I have three thumb-plugs for mine that I can use depending on my thumb. One of the first things I do, in fact, is to check my thumb in my "s...

I still think it was faked. Too much between the legs, through the machines, etc etc etc that just would not be feasible with a small drone.
but cool special effects.

I joined the 300 club!
I went in to tonight thinking, let's try going straighter instead of swinging it like I've been doing. OK, line up on middle dot, which puts my right arm on 13 I think? Aim at 10, so swing just a touch out and hook at about 8. Minor adjustment (1 left with my feet) during practice but it was THERE. ...

ok, so how about changing the question. Instead of straight up replacing the Crux, what would make a good complement to the IQTP and Marvel S?

Lost a ball, looking to replace. . .
So my Crux (original) was a casualty so my wife told me to buy a new ball . . . I have an original IQ Tour Pearl, polished, and a Marvel S, sanded to 1000 right now. Well, and a White Dot but does that count? LOL I was looking at the Hy-Road Max. I'd like something that will read mid - not early, no...

don't do this - it installs a flash player on your computer. Flash has been discontinued for very good reason. It's one of the most insecure and hacked platforms in history. As an IT professional, I rejoiced when support for it finally ceased, when Chrome finally stopped its emulation, and I could r...
