Re: alcohol
Not having seen a nesco in person, I don't see why you couldn't just get a bucket of the right size that the ball would fit in and just set the nesco top unit on the bucket and not go thru the trouble of cutting the rings out (and buying extra ones). or at most just take one ring, cut it out and mo...

Re: Bracket/Pot greed
You've got 2 choices when it comes to people who run brackets like that: 1. Bowl to win brackets and not worry about the finances. 2. Not participate. And speaking of bracket-type controversy - I am part of league that has kind of dismantled itself (from 32 teams a few years back down to 10 this ye...

What's up with pots and brackets but we can't see what's collected and what your cut is?

A bowler stopped showing up to League...
A bowler takes over for another bowler mid-season who stopped showing up and did not pay his weekly dues. Is the new bowler required to take over the lineage fee or only the part of the dues that go into the prize fund?

Re: That elusive first 300
Experimented with switching balls after the first game. Something a little less angular. (What had happened was...LOL): Each team brings food every week. Scarfed down chicken wings/legs, potato salad, veggies with dip, tuna salad and 2 cookies. Couldn't keep my leg speed up. Felt like my stomach was...

OPERATOR ERROR IN CRUCIAL FRAMES AT THE WRONG TIME!
I must embrace the fact that our team won all three games. And the second game doubling in the 10th to win by 4 pins. On an individual note though...way too many unacceptable shots! Oh what could have been.

Re: A polished solid can never be a pearl...Spinner experime
The problem with Secret Sauce is that it's the most intensely abrasive bowling ball polish ever made, of which I am aware. It is so strong, it's the only one that can truly shine up old, true urethane balls. That said, when used to polish resin, the result becomes an all or nothing proposition. Unl...

Re: That elusive first 300
I'm still looking for my first sanctioned 300, but I did have back to back 800s (801, 836) in October. :) During one of the InsideBowling broadcasts, Mike Flanagan mentioned he wanted to film a documentary on how hard it is to roll a 300 game for "typical" league bowlers. Sure, there are ...

A polished solid can never be a pearl...Spinner experiments
...for those who like to change balls to angular pearl during transition. I'm close to being done with my polished Brunswick Kingpin for the last game. To be fair though, it's polished with Bean's Secret Sauce which is a bit more snappier than Valentino's Snake Oil. One more session with some things...

Re: That elusive first 300
Polished Kingpin. Three 10s first game. Index finger spread with pinky tuck targeting 18-13 (foul line to arrows) Moved right 2nd game 14-11. Index finger closed. Missed a couple at the bottom 2nd game. Why not change balls for the last game? I'm old school and the solution is in my bag o' tricks so...

Re: That elusive first 300
Yeah, pretty much. Back 30 yrs. ago I did this a few times. Always that 1 frame in the middle where the brain goes out to lunch. Question - Did ya peek at the score and 'think' about it right around the open/split? I don't much worry about it until the 1st 8 are in the bag. Then I just say to self ...

Will do experiment with Valentino's Snake Oil. Tried Bean's Secret Sauce and made it a bit angular.Langston77 wrote:Has anyone messed around with the surface of this ball? If so what did you find with it being polished.

Re: Sanding Pads
I used twice only if wet sanded by machine. If dry sanded by hand, I seldom count but usually limit to 4 to 5 balls (6 sides / ball). I have ordered some autonet which is 1/4 of the abralon pad cost. See if they give similar result. I would like to order some. What's a good place to get a mixed box...

Hello Everyone! My name is Kevin and I co-own Valentino Bowling. We've been making a suite of bowling ball maintenance products for the last 6 years.
