Re: New to Dual-Angle layout
Your very similar to me, I mean very close. (high speed, hand, etc.) I just got a Frenzy drilled 65 / 5 1/2 / 60, P4 13/16. I think the difference is the p4 location. The ball likes axis tilt and rotation, does not like to have less rotation, and tilt.. I have a Mania 40/ 3 1/2 /60 P4 13/16, 2000 po...

Re: Help on 5 step approach
I used to push away on the third step, but my coach fixed that. I had very late timing. I used to bowl with no slide, and had a grip n rip release. All muscle no free swing. Now that part of my life is over with, I am more consistant, accurate, relaxed, able to bowl long formats, not dripping sweat,...

Re: 15 year old bowls a 300!
Be evil  either do three things. Heavily oil the pin deck, or forget to strip them for 2 weeks. Or Strip the lane, start oiling at 15 Feet (dry heads)to 40 feet, and normal backends. Have a nice day. Or Full oil on all even lanes (5 to 1), and conviently dry(1 to 1) on all odd lanes.

Re: Plastic balls in your league
its not always about your strike ball.
You do realize that 15-16 strikes is alot of warmup? Alot of variables goes into changing lane conditions.

Re: Low axis tilt
I got 0°-3° tilt. :D And I don't think its bad. All balls like to read right off my hand. I have broken the midlane down to three catagories early, mid, late midlane. Very rarley balls that read the late midlane for me and carry. But that is due to my speed also. Getting balls not to track over midd...

Re: Starting off in regionals?
Would you mind elaborating on this? I think I understand what you're saying, but I want to make sure, lol. Thanks! Alot of adjustments come off of other players and watching thier reactions. If they are out of it mentally (lost), well that is one change that can't be counted on . Players that use e...

Re: Gradient Line Balance Hole Technique information request
So if I have a 55* x 5 x 20* ball that doesn't have a weight hole, where can I put the weight hole to tame the reaction? Because based on the chart , the P1 location will keep the Int. diff and the Total Diff around the same as the ball without the weight hole. It isn't where, but also can be how b...

Re: Starting off in regionals?
I will echo the person who said you are a pro. Hold your head up high, stay positive, and accept this fact: you WILL leave pocket splits. You WILL leave a single pin spare in the back row. You WILL have bad breaks. Accept them when they occur, and remember to cover all the wood you can - one pin do...

Re: MoRich FTW!
Thanks Mo. I am not as versed, and restrain myself in commenting in drilling/layout because I lack experience in that department. But in the posts that I do have some kind of experience, I like to leave my .02 . I didn't feel that we were picking either, just I wanted clairification on what part of ...

Re: MoRich FTW!
If I am wrong, I would like Mo to say I am wrong. Can I say your wrong? Just to say your wrong... Teee Hee. Not saying your wrong. :D My understanding that the p1 hole is for a smoother transition (not increasing the diff as much) and a p4 hole is for a faster transition (increasing the diff's pote...

Starting board, aiming mark, breakpoint board, end result.

I am just starting on the PBA west this year. Let me give you some insites from my perspective. #1 Be prepaired to get a big slice of humble pie. Your no longer the big fish in the little pond. Starting over as the lowest rung on the ladder. Learn, learn fast, and often. #2 Close your frames. Opens ...

Re: Approach Problem?
I can't visualize this. Vertical plane is straight up and down. The ball moves forward and back (in the swing) more than the eyes do (forward only, in the approach), so how can they stay in the same vertical plane? -- JohnP Ok here is an example think of it when your load up in the approach and you...

Re: Approach Problem?
AS FAR AS I KNOW YOUR EYES ARE PART OF YOUR HEAD! The key is to keep your eyes above the ball during the entire delivery, including the follow thru. The eyes and the ball should be in the same vertical plane throughout. In the " See It, Feel It, Do It " manual. You know, I think you are r...

Re: Pocket 7 - 10 splits
Go to 500 on the mania and 1000 on the Craze. Let me know what happens. That's my best recommendation. My mania is at 500 now also. The house I bowl at is starting to have the same exact transitions due to weather warming up (and hope it isn't because the machine isn't upkept :D, benefit of the dou...

I am 6'3.
Have you heard of keeping your head, eyes, on the same plane? That's what I would work on. Making sure your head/eyes do not move once you set your first foot in motion.
