Thank you Mo... Plenty of room above either for a stronger ball such as either a Reax 2 or Yeti Unleashed then...

Hook/R cover vs. Reax Pearl cover?
Which cover is stronger? I would expect that the core strength in the Hook/R trumps the core in the original Reax duo, but is it a situation of strong cover/strong core with the Hook/R and almost as strong cover/weaker core with the Reax Pearl? FWIW - MF is drilled deeper on Hook/R to possibly allow...

Re: Oppoaite Side Weight Holes
I believe 180° around the ball from a P1, P2, P3 or P4 extra hole lies what can be considered a N1, N2, N3, and N4 extra hole... I think this topic has been covered here somewhere and the agreement was that an N4 extra hole, if flare safe, has the same affect on core dynamics as a P4 extra hole... L...

Unleashed Yeti vs. Reax Pearl
I have a Reax Pearl with my benchmark layout (50°x4"x40° w/ hole on PAP) and a Grease Monkey with the pin 3" from my axis and at approximately 70° from the VAL. My stats - 16-17 mph at the foul line 250 rpm Initial Axis Rotation - 75 deg. Axis Tilt - 13 deg My question is, does the Yeti Un...

Re: Question: why do balls crack?
I don't think it's the different rates of expansion that is the issue... I would consider that the core and filler are mostly incompressible materials and the coverstock, be it urethane or reactive urethane , is a somewhat compressible material that is not 100% cured. As it cures and shrinks over ti...

Re: How do I know if a ten pin is off?
Flat gutters being at the deeper side of the allowable specification may be a factor, as can worn or loose flat gutters and/or kick back plates...
BUT
If you're driving the 6 into the 10 rather than relying on pin action off the surrounding environment it's less of an issue.

Re: Saaiir to Abralon conversion
There should be no need for a conversion between these products... though it has been said that Abralon pads "wear out" faster than Siaair. This may relate to the differences in abrasives used and the difference in material used to back the abrasives.

Re: Help me to find where the CG marking is on this ball
Typically the cg on Columbia balls is marked by a small "hand" (as in gripping a ball) with a white dot in it. See if you can find that on your ball. In the photo linked below look about 2" to the right of the weight marked on the ball and you'll see what I'm describing. -- JohnP htt...

Do USBC rules clearly state something along those lines or is it just a sound pro shop practice?

Vise-IT to Switch Grip vs Switch Grip to Vise-IT
I don't use either product in my personal equipment, but I was curious if changing from one to the other and vice versa is less complicated...
In other words... does a pro shop have to completely remove the IT system before installing the Switch Grip system?

Re: Gradient balance holes and offset thumb drilling a?
Basically then base on the above, no one has the layout on their equipment that they think they have. Unless, of course, you have access to an RG swing (quite time consuming to use, yet fairly easy to build) or a DeTerminator. I really don't think an RG swing would be very useful in finding the hig...

Re: MOtion Hole on a plugged Lethal Revolver
Biggest thing you might want to do is re-weigh the ball to verify CG location so static weights don't turn into a nightmare.
