So does this mean it's the end of the road for Morich?

It's really not a problem if they do intersect -- and I'm pretty sure that they will.

Re: symmetrical core balance hole
yes definitely go deeper. Mo recommends starting at 2.5" deep. I would just keep the same diameter hole and drill to 2.5"-2.75", if statics allow. If you need a little more sideweight or thumbweight to pull this off, just drill the middle finger deeper -- try 3" deep up to 4"...

Re: Craze complimentary equipment?
How much do you adjust surface on your ball? What's the surface on the Craze now? Also, we can give you a general recommendation at this point, but could give you a really good recommendation given some basic stats. We have: Left handed We need: Ball speed (and where/how it's measured) Rev rate Axis...

Re: To P3 or to leave it at no hole?????????
That makes sense. If you want a p3, you can drill middle finger to 3.5" deep and give your self a little room.

What was starting pin to CG distance and top weight before drilling? I'm baffled that this ball came out with 0 side weight with this layout.ASUWoody wrote: The current side wieght is at 0.

Re: More flare can mean less hook?
Well in the case of the double thumb, how close is the PSA to the double thumb? A double thumb works because it and the thumb are both very close to the psa, strengthening asymmetry and total differentials. If you are looking at a small drilling angle, say 20 deg, I believe it would weaken reaction ...

Re: Percentage increase in Rev rate from the Skid to Roll ph
Just a quick example for you to think about -- If a bowling ball is rolling forward at 17 miles per hour (not skidding at all), it's spinning at about 665 rpm. 14.5 mph = 567 rpm so let's take a bowler that rolls the ball at 17mph and 300 rpm -- somewhere down the lane as the ball encounters frictio...

Re: Percentage increase in Rev rate from the Skid to Roll ph
This isn't why ball revs up: Okay I see, the core moves Like the figure skater doing a spin. Pulling their arms in, their spin rate increases. Revs up because friction in lane causes it to rev up. Revs can be calculated if you know the speed of ball at end of lane as long as it's in a roll. The figu...

Don't recall where, but Mo has also suggested putting the CG 6-3/4" from pap on midline and drilling hole on NAP until legal for minimum hook.
EDIT:
Found it. Look at post #45 (page 3) of this thread:

How about a hint... or even what it's not going to be if you need to keep all the details close to chest? Thanks for...

Re: Interesting x-hole location
Very interesting. I really appreciate all of the time you've put into this. I'm just curious when this would be effectively used. Is the purpose just to increase diff and int. diff without risking rolling over a balance hole, or is it to relieve static top weight problems without substantially chang...

Re: balance hole pitch
Rob590 - you're correct, but it doesn't apply to intersecting fingerholes. Finger/thumb holes may intersect each other, but any additional holes that intersect finger/thumb must meet the definition of vent hole.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Switch grip thumb slugs
I don't use any of them, but would like to drill an interchangeable thumb on my next ball, then possibly retrofit my existing arsenal. A couple notes: -the Grip-Loc (Lane1) system allows you to remove additional static weight from under insert in bottom of thumb hole since it glues to sides of hole....

"weight hole on the VAL 2" below the midline"- We need an industry term for this sucker! I've thought the same thing. How about "V-2M hole" for on the VAL 2" below midline -- and that would make a "V+1M" hole a hole on VAL 1" above midline. I'm sure ther...

Re: Thumb Just Wont Clear... Help!
Hanging at the front base of the thumb is almost always too long a span. Knuckling tends to show up at the sides and back, not the web. Check your span, with the thumb in all the way and the fingers laid relaxed across the holes (don't stretch out!) the front edge of the fingerholes should be half ...
