Makes sense. Should a bowler be capable of throwing a ball with different pitches (reverse AND forward) if the hole is tight enough? Or is a specific pitch required to reduce grip pressure?
The fit should be as anatomically neutral/natural as possible.

Re: Grip Pressure, Tape, and Optimal Mechanics

If you need to put tape on the side of your thumb, your thumb hole is too big.

Re: Mo's new layouts

Mo’s intention for the new layouts was to make it easier for people who may not have the knowledge base or understanding as many of the people on this forum. He always had the goal of making bowling more fun for more people. A common part of my work for Mo was to virtually drill bowling balls to de...

Maurice "Mo" Pinel 1942-2021

From a release on Facebook: Maurice Louis Pinel, Jr. passed away peacefully today at 8:45a.m. with his loved ones at his side in Baton Rouge, LA. He had recently contracted the COVID-19 virus and his heart, lungs, and body fought off this terrible virus as long as it could. Honoring his wishes, he w...

Personally, I bump up the total sums based on how much differential ratio there is built into the ball design.

Re: Mo's new layouts

I continue to prescribe to our philosophy here.
As Mo has gone mainstream, I think there has been a desire to make it "1-sheet" simple.
I think what we have documented here in the wiki is more complete.

I voted yes. I suppose if I was an elite player, bowling on tour for a living I'd have a different answer.
I think John did the old double switch on you.
The poll question asks: Should Ball Company Reps be allowed to Interact with bowlers during a match?

Re: Opinion: Keep ball reps out of active competition

Just like most things in life, we earn what we get. PBA bowling is not "trophies for all kids that play", I'm not buying into the everyone pays the same price, they should have an equal chance. Did I say anything about everyone getting a trophy? I did not. Everyone should have an equal chance to wi...

Re: Opinion: Keep ball reps out of active competition

Baseball on crack? I don't know about that. Bowling?...... About reps, no one asked if I liked it. Maybe that's a totally different thing. I believe at the PBA level, reps are a necessity. It's that simple. Yes, bowling is an individual sport, but a person is competing against everyone at the same ...

Re: Opinion: Keep ball reps out of active competition

TomaHawk,

Nobody here is debating difficulty at the PBA level.
What is being debated is if the difficulty should be the same for everyone that pays their entry fee.
