VAL is always parallel to the center of grip line and perpendicular to the midline.

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?

Locking the thread, we've given you good advice on how to handle this the right way.
We dont need your potty mouth or your abuse.
You get what you pay for with pro shops, call them and work out the pricing. Stop asking us for prices, we dont run their business.

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?

We are trying to help you make a decision you wont regret. When you have a bloody stump for a thumb you'll get what we are saying, we're trying to avoid you experiencing pain. Its your choice how you play the game, but eventually if you want to knock down more pins and score higher, you will have to...

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?

Firing the ball straight at the pins is a waste of time unless you plan on participating at a purely unorganized, recreational level. If you want to learn how to BOWL, I recommend getting a low end reactive resin ball that isnt plastic or urethane, like the ones I recommended. Invest in a nice ball ...

Re: The story so far how much does it cost to plug and drill?

Do it right. Go to the pro shop, buy a Brunswick Rhino or a Radical Rack Attack, they're both beginner balls that will introduce you to the modern game. They're on the lower end of the spectrum. Also, most proshops have a 2nd hand rack where there are used balls for a lower price. These balls have t...

I agree with you.
Lets keep it more level headed than to suggest "drinking disinfectant".
So, lets please keep it non-political.

Re: Returning to bowling after COVID Shutdown

I think we should relax a little bit here and focus on solutions that help.
Focus on the probable, not the possible.

Re: Returning to bowling after COVID Shutdown

No signs of starting back up in NY.
I think most bowlers will continue to take the summer off like they usually do, which could mean peril for many centers needing the business right away.
If you want to continue to bowl at your local center, START BOWLING IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY REOPEN.

Re: USBC Emergency rule changes

I dont think it will move the needle much, if at all.
Bowling is not a distanced activity and the way most bowling centers are constructed, I would think bowling will be one of the last things to see normal business volume.

Re: Something different and funky

Your release specs tell me it doesnt really matter what you put on a ball as long as the Pin to PAPs on symmetrics are over 3.5 and on asymmetrics under 4.5
Your release is very heads and midlane environment dependent. Not good for versatility!

Re: Might want to get ready for long term storage of your balls.

My opinion on why balls crack:

Unfinished wood ball racks.
Wood absorbs like a sponge when left unfinished, drawing our stabilizers from a very small spot over a long term.
Sand ball exposure edges on the rack with 400/800/1000 sandpaper and do 2 coats of polyurethane.
My problems went away.

Here in Michigan all restaurants, bars, and places of recreation have been shut down by decree of the Governor. Basically we are under Marshal Law. I had just hit a stride with my bowling game just in time for the tournament season. This is totally disappointing. One thing I can guarantee is worse....

I'm looking to use it as a spare ball and then for a primary when things are completely torched at Nationals. Something along those lines.
If you're doing that, you're in the wrong part of the lane, especially at 375RPM.
