Re: Layout For Someone Who Lofts The Ball Almost To The Arrows
Hi Eric, Can you recommend layouts for Asymmetrical and Symmetrical balls for someone who lofts the ball almost to the arrows? How does it effect the dual angle layouts for the balls? Do you treat the loft like the slide of the ball? RH Speed: 16.5 at line Rotation: 65-70 Tilt: 10-15 Rev: 225 PAP: ...

Re: Layout Advice For Match With High Tilt
I'd call the 60-3-30 a skid snap layout for him.
With his PAP the Drilling Angle is more like 70*
The Symmetrical Benchmark is a good choice for the Vibe.

Re: New ball for a 10 year old new bowler
He is going to grow.
Semi will allow him to use this ball longer.
Either way you go, when he does grow don't hesitate to get the span changed accordingly.

Welcome to BowlingChat How much side weight does it have?. The Cg is kicked way out. Check your PAP on each ball. Including your spare ball if you roll one. Ball dynamics can have an effect on where it will be. Those 2 balls are Very different from each other. The Tour Dynamix is a low flare weak As...

Re: Setting up Tournament arsenal need layout advice
The Asym Control Layout 50-4-65 will locate the pin just below the Ring finger.
The Symmetrical xx-4-60 will have the Pin in the Ring finger, adjust to completely drill out the Pin.

Re: Setting up Tournament arsenal need layout advice
In a prior post for house shots I got some nice help from Eric Hartwell. Now I have purchased a few balls to try and create a general tournament bag to use for Sport Shot tournaments. I know the oil patterns can vary from long to short flat and all sorts of ratios. I really can't drill balls specif...

Re: Skid flip doesnt exist anymore
A good layout can help get the ball down the lane. There is a bit of information needed to find that good layout. Check out this link... https://forum.bowlingchat.net/viewtopic.php?t=373 As far as a ball for this, your thoughts about the Virtual Energy are in line with what I would suggest. I would ...

Re: MB below thumb
To push the MAss bias below the thumb it could be the result of a Larger VAL angle. The Drilling angle is still measured from the PAP which is Unique to each individual bowler. From your PAP 5 over and 1/2 up To get the Mass Bias 2" directly below the thumb 90-4-75 2in below.JPG Better keep the...

Re: What layout is this?
Welcome to BowlingChat The Storm El-Nino X-IT is a Particle ball. Properly maintained could give decent results. Improperly maintained as it looks in the pic. The surface needs constant attention to maintain. The use of scotch brite pads works best for them. Use this hand-me-down ball to get your re...

Re: layout advice lower ball speed high tilt
Higher Tilt bowlers will do better with lower Ratios and longer Pin to PAPs on Asyms. The 3" Pin to PAP will retain to much Tilt and bounce off the pocket as I call it. Too much deflection. The Ratio on the Evo Pearl 3.25:1 Your Sweetspot Ratio is 1:1.5 making your Range 1:1 to 1:2. Skid phase ...

I have an Evo pearl 65/4.5/20 and a conspiracy hybrid 70/3/55 mass bias near the thumb in both balls. I have not thrown either ball for a while. I will take to practice and see what ball reaction I have. Both of the layouts used are not in your Arsenal Range of layouts. Pin to PAP on the Conspiracy...

Re: Bowling Ball Resurfacing
From my understanding, as long as the ball is Sanded evenly over the entire surface then you are OK. Nothing that I know of mentions crosshatching the surface. You run risk if making the ball out of round by sanding on only one axis all the time. I would sand 4 sides every once in a while to keep th...

Re: layout advice, new ball? for slow speed, high tilt, high rotation, rev dominate senior
Just looking at Speed to Rev relationship you are Rev Dominant. But once you figure in High Tilt and High Rotation your sweetspot is in the Speed dominant zone. Sweetspot 85* Total and 1:1.5 Ratio.
