Do 2 handed full rollers exist, and does it matter?

I'm slightly familiar with full roller vs over rolled full rollers, but I'm curious if in today's modern game, without balance holes, and for 2 handers who don't use thumb holes... does it matter? Assuming the bowler has 0* tilt, tracks between the fingers and where a "hypothetical" thumb ...

Negative Tilt 2 Handed Layout

Hello, I switched to 2 handed 5 months ago, and recently remeasured all of my specs as I have new balls coming to build an arsenal. My tilt is at negative 5 degrees. My rotation is between 50-55 My Speed hovers at 15.0mph on the monitor, so I assume 17.5mph off the hand. I have not measured rev rate...

Re: changing the numbers on the 2LS system

https://www.stormbowling.com/medias/2LS%20Poster%20Layout.pdf I can convert the old VLS system to Dual angle. Haven't figured out how to convert from the 2LS system. The Dual angle system doesn't take into consideration the distance from Pin to COG. It's all the same thing, it's just being measured...

Re: Layout Recommendation

What ball is being considered? What ball and layout is he currently using? From the description a Dull surface would be in order on just about anything for him on a heavily oiled house shot. Has he tried sanding what he is currently using? He's open to suggestions, I was trying to point him to a he...

Layout Recommendation

Speed: 16.8 (Whole Lane Average) Revs: 210 (Whole Lane Average) Tilt: 15-20 Rotation: 70-75 For a Typical House Shot, with seemingly higher volumes. If I've read and understand the wiki correctly... This makes him speed dominant, for an angle sum of 80*. Tilt/Rotation lead me to believe I'm looking ...

AND they have to mark where the palm of their hand will go. They aren't allowed to turn the ball upside down anymore.

Re: IT vs Switch Grip

I've only used Switch Grips at Demo Days, they were whatever I guess. I have the IT in all of my balls, and have nothing but good things to say about this system, and can highly recommend it.

Re: Layout for a Straight Bowler?

Getting the grip right is more important than ball choice at this point. Thanks Eric. I've been working with him to get his specs so I can lay the ball out for him as I don't really trust the local driller for that type of stuff. I'm Long winded, I apologize. Short Version: Looking for a layout for...

Layout for a Straight Bowler?

I just got back into bowling, joined a league and talked a friend of mine into joining as well. He's really starting to like it and wants to get his own ball. He currently throws a plastic house ball, straight up the lane. He's not going to be able to put barely any revs on the ball, appears to be c...

Re: The core hitting the pocket...

Nice video.... i think we are describing different things, or we interpret them differently. For example in this video, if the black light green dot is the pin, what i see is that it STARTS standing up at release (the circle it makes is huge almost the total circumference of the ball), and at the p...

Layout Request

Hey guys, Few years back MattInTheHat and Mo helped me layout my Pink Panther and it has been the most consistent and reliable ball I've ever had. After a few years off, I want to get back into bowling. Went to the alley to get some practice and this ball is still amazing for me. So first and foremo...

Pay close attention at 5:17-5:18.

Regardless, you're a good bowler, but if your ball wasn't 'hooking' into the pins so often, you'd leave a lot less of those single pins.

Re: 13 pound Bowling Balls

Motiv and Lane 1 are most well known for using the same size/shape cores, but with less dense materials for 12/13. Some of the other companies do it on a ball specific basis, so sometimes it's hard to get a clear cut answer, unless you have a specific ball in mind. Mo says that all Brunswick manufac...

Re: Crazy ball drill layout?

Almost looks like a modified RICO drill. RICO has the pin in the palm, but a lot of people have mentioned success with it under the right circumstances. The weight hole size/placement is normal, given the location of the CG being roughly 45 from grip center. (Again, similar to RICO) but RICO weight ...

20160409_122825_HDR.jpg 20160409_122917_HDR.jpg Bought a new RotoGrip Hy-Wire yesterday, and threw the MOtionhole layout on it as an experiment. I guess I didn't get the angles correct, as the pin is slightly higher than my 'fake layout' had it, but there's no going back now. Got the CG to where yo...

Re: MOtion Hole Recommendation

Make sure the motion hole is at least 3 1/2" deep. Try to get the CG slightly negative of the centerline and above the midline if possible. This one is a bit over my head. CG Negative of the centerline... if looking at the ball, is that to the left, or right? Here's a picture of the fake pin/l...

Re: MOtion Hole Recommendation

Have an appointment today to get 2 balls drilled. One of which will be the MOtion hole. While trying to get my angles down before I show up, the MOtion hole layout breaks down to 115x3x55 for me. My Sweetspot via Mo, is angle sums of 85 degrees. (60x3.25x25 benchmark) The MOtionhole layout puts my a...

Re: Over / Under

Shiny equipment over reads the dry and under reads the wet. We want to smooth out the transition from wet to dry and still bite thru any oil in spots where it shouldnt be. Surface helps with that. Layouts that do not get tweaky (not to be confused with twerky), also help, more even ratio and medium...

Why? A ball that is 'still hooking' shouldn't have any negative effect on carry, as long as the speed, weight, and angle of entry of said ball remain the same, right?
