Re: Ring Finger. What's recommended?

I drilled a ball Sarge Easter to lower my rev rate for drier conditions. I found that a conventional grip worked just fine in the ring, and was quite comfortable to bowl with along side my wiki fit arsenal.

Re: Shop Vac

Most few HP vacs will do the trick just fine. I use a 6.5 HP. Just make sure you use bags in your vac, as the dust will surely cover everything in your shop in just a few days if you don't. I don't think you need to go the full HEPA style bags, but the few dollar investment per 3 pack is well worth ...

Re: Innovative Bowling and Vise Inserts

I know John posts on here, but Vise is a pretty large company. Are you sure it isn't the other way around?

Maybe a partnership to get pro shop equipment/supplies to the masses in package deals?

I won a ball from Buddies a few months ago.

The only sure way to not get a free ball is to fail to enter!

Re: How Far Are Pins Allowed To Be Off Of Their Spot Center

They all need to be in the circles on the pin deck. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is the only requirement I recall from the CLIP manual.

Re: Pin Location

Length lay outs typically have the pin above the fingers. Mo's suggested lay out 60 * 3 3/8 * 30 puts the pin above the fingers. I want to know if the pin location has as much effect on ball motion with the dual angle system as it does with other lay outs? That pin position as it relates to the lay...

Re: Custom Bowling Shoes

If you have a cobbler(shoe repair guy They can be extremely hard to find these days), give him a call.

A good cobbler will be able to attach an appropriate sole/heel to nearly any shoe.

Re: Rules for Bowling Shoes

If you make the "must wear bowling shoes" an actual rule, the street shoe wearers could simply buy a righty and lefty pair of bowling shoes (quite expensive I know) and simply wear the non-slide shoes on both feet. They would get the same effect just at a ridiculous price. A pair of bowli...

Re: MOtion Hole for full-roller?

Maybe Blueprint can weigh in here with some simulations, but here are some thoughts. Due to the way a full roller tracks, it might not be possible to get the hole remotely close to the correct location. A 1 1/4 " hole thumping every revolution is not a pretty sound. After adding the hole, it ma...

Re: vise-it trouble

IT failures have always seemed to occur from improper installation, or sharing balls with differing pitches. *Ensure you have the new Vise tools, as the older ones do not work correctly with the new Ball IT's. Rule 1 - Use a good glue Rule 2 - Ensure you seat the Ball-IT correctly. The grey part sho...

Re: EXTREMELY URGENT Question on Layouts - Static Weights

1. Given the variables in spans, diameter of fingers & thumbs, distance of PIN to CG of the balls, and starting top weights of the balls. Is it possible to know if you CAN drill the ball you are given with those limitations and guarantee it meets USBC static weight specifications? Depending on t...

Re: thumb tape tips and tricks???

For persistent sweaty thumbs, head down to your local walmart, and drop 30 bucks on a coleman rechargeable tent fan. Hold your hand over it when the bowler before you is on deck.

I opted for one of those little fans with the foam wings that runs on double A's. Works great in that summer heat!

I believe it is going to have more to do with the fillers that are used in the Urethane mixture. Here is a pretty cool albeit long white paper on using nano composites with varying load, and their use in strengthening and increasing the usable volume of resins. If you scroll down, you can see some p...

Re: Light weight for sport patterns

I was told by a Track rep, all Ebonite international light weight balls use the V2 core. Good news really, the V2 core was, is, a very good rolling core and a popular ball line. Of course, I was told this years ago. They may be using something different now. Most companies use the full core in 13-1...

They are compression sleeves. People with circulation problems have been wearing them for YEARS to alleviate the problems of diabetes, water retention, and other ailments.

By increasing circulation, you can get more oxygen to those muscles, and work harder/longer.

Re: Cracking Skin on Ring Finger Crease

For splitting like that, I would look at adding some reverse to your ring finger to lessen the pressure on it.

I see you are 1/8th forward now, maybe take it to 1/8th reverse on a test ball and see how that feels.
